⁵² And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.^(A)

²⁶ And the boy Samuel continued to grow^(A) in stature and in favor with the Lord and with people.^(B)

¹⁸ because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and receives human approval.^(A)

⁴⁷ praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people.^(A) And the Lord added to their number^(B) daily those who were being saved.

² The Lord was with Joseph^(A) so that he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master. ³ When his master saw that the Lord was with him^(B) and that the Lord gave him success in everything he did,^{(C) 4} Joseph found favor in his eyes^(D) and became his attendant. Potiphar put him in charge of his household,^(E) and he entrusted to his care everything he owned.^(F)

²¹ the Lord was with him;^(A) he showed him kindness^(B) and granted him favor in the eyes of the prison warden.^(C)

⁹ Now God had caused the official to show favor^(A) and compassion^(B) to Daniel,
