^8 (A)This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but ^(B)you^[a] shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

⁶ “And ^(A)these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. ^7 (B)You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. ^8 (C)You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. ^9 (D)You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

⁴⁶ and he said to them: ^(A)“Set your hearts on all the words which I testify among you today, which you shall command your ^(B)children to be careful to observe—all the words of this law. ⁴⁷ For it is not a ^[a]futile thing for you, because it is your ^(C)life, and by this word you shall prolong your days in the land which you cross over the Jordan to possess.”

Do Not Neglect Salvation

2 Therefore we must give ^[a]the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away. ² For if the word ^(A)spoken through angels proved steadfast, and ^(B)every transgression and disobedience received a just ^[b]reward, ^3 (C)how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, ^(D)which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was ^(E)confirmed to us by those who heard Him,

⁹ Only take heed to yourself, and diligently ^(A)keep yourself, lest you ^(B)forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And ^(C)teach them to your children and your grandchildren,

²⁷ But the ^(A)anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and ^(B)you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing ^(C)teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you ^[a]will abide in Him.

⁶ If anyone does not abide in Me, ^(A)he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. ⁷ If you abide in Me, and My words ^(B)abide in you, ^(C)you^[a] will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
