Proverbs 28:28-29:3

New International Version

²⁸ When the wicked rise to power, people go into hiding;^(A)
    but when the wicked perish, the righteous thrive.

29 Whoever remains stiff-necked^(B) after many rebukes
    will suddenly be destroyed^(C)—without remedy.^(D)

² When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice;^(E)
    when the wicked rule,^(F) the people groan.^(G)

³ A man who loves wisdom brings joy to his father,^(H)
    but a companion of prostitutes squanders his wealth.^(I)
