^7 (A)But the house of Israel will not be willing to listen to you, for they are not willing to listen to me: because all the house of Israel ^(B)have a hard forehead and a stubborn heart.

^12 (A)They made their hearts diamond-hard ^(B)lest they should hear the law and the words that the Lord of hosts had sent ^(C)by his Spirit through ^(D)the former prophets. ^(E)Therefore great anger came from the Lord of hosts.

⁸ He said to them, “Because of your ^(A)hardness of heart Moses allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so.

¹⁸ They ^(A)are darkened in their understanding, ^(B)alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to ^(C)their hardness of heart.

¹³ But ^(A)exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by ^(B)the deceitfulness of sin.
