¹⁸ Like a maniac shooting
    flaming arrows of death

¹⁸ Like a club or a sword or a sharp arrow
    is one who gives false testimony against a neighbor.^(A)

¹¹ But now, all you who light fires
    and provide yourselves with flaming torches,^(A)
go, walk in the light of your fires^(B)
    and of the torches you have set ablaze.
This is what you shall receive from my hand:^(C)
    You will lie down in torment.^(D)

²³     till an arrow pierces^(A) his liver,
like a bird darting into a snare,
    little knowing it will cost him his life.^(B)

²³ With bitterness archers attacked him;^(A)
    they shot at him with hostility.^(B)
