¹⁵ But ^[a]sanctify ^[b]the Lord God in your hearts, and always ^(A)be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the ^(B)hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;

³ it seemed good to me also, having ^[a]had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write to you an orderly account, ^(A)most excellent Theophilus, ^4 (B)that you may know the certainty of those things in which you were instructed.

¹³ These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, ^[a]and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

^31 (A)but these are written that ^(B)you may believe that Jesus ^(C)is the Christ, the Son of God, ^(D)and that believing you may have life in His name.
