¹³ Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. ¹⁴ And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says:

¹⁶ But ^(F)blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear;

¹⁷ that ^(A)the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, ^(B)may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, ^18 (C)the eyes of your ^[a]understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is ^(D)the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

¹¹ So the Lord said to him, ^(A)“Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the Lord?

^18 (A)to open their eyes, in order ^(B)to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, ^(C)that they may receive forgiveness of sins and ^(D)an inheritance among those who are ^(E)sanctified^[a] by faith in Me.’
