²² but the wicked will be cut off from the earth,
    and the treacherous will be rooted out of it.^(A)

¹⁰ Tell the innocent how fortunate they are,
    for they shall eat the fruit of their labors.^(A)
11 Woe to the guilty! How unfortunate they are,
    for what their hands have done shall be done to them.^(B)

²⁸ For the Lord loves justice;
    he will not forsake his faithful ones.

³⁰ The righteous will never totter,
    but the wicked will not remain on the earth.^(A)

²⁰ The Lord watches over all who love him,
    but all the wicked he will destroy.^(A)

¹⁶ Their roots dry up beneath,
    and their branches wither above.^(A)
17 Their memory perishes from the earth,
    and they have no name in the street.^(B)
18 They are thrust from light into darkness
    and driven out of the world.

²² The iniquities of the wicked ensnare them,
    and they are caught in the coils of their sin.^(A)
23 They die for lack of discipline,
    and because of their great folly they are lost.^(B)
