Proverbs 16:24-28

^24 (A)Gracious words are like ^(B)a honeycomb,
    sweetness to the soul and ^(C)health to the body.
²⁵ There is a way that seems right to a man,
    but its end is the way to death.^[a]
26 A worker's appetite works for him;
    his ^(D)mouth urges him on.
^27 (E)A worthless man plots evil,
    and his speech^[b] is like ^(F)a scorching fire.
^28 (G)A dishonest man spreads strife,
    and ^(H)a whisperer ^(I)separates close friends.
