²² Do not those who plan evil err?
    Those who plan good find loyalty and faithfulness.

² The good obtain favor from the Lord,
    but those who devise evil he condemns.^(A)

⁷ The villainies of villains are evil;
    they devise wicked devices
to ruin the poor with lying words,
    even when the plea of the needy is right.^(A)
8 But those who are noble plan noble things,
    and by noble things they stand.^(B)

²² What is desirable in a person is loyalty,
    and it is better to be poor than a liar.

¹⁷ One who is quick-tempered acts foolishly,
    and the schemer is hated.^(A)

²⁹ Do not plan harm against your neighbor
    who lives trustingly beside you.^(A)

⁷ May he be enthroned forever before God;
    appoint steadfast love and faithfulness to watch over him!^(A)

¹⁰ All the paths of the Lord are steadfast love and faithfulness,
    for those who keep his covenant and his decrees.^(A)
