⁹ Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds,

Do Not Grieve the Spirit

²⁵ Therefore, putting away lying, ^(A)“Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,” for ^(B)we are members of one another.

^8 (A)But the cowardly, ^[a]unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in ^(B)the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

⁸ I ^[a]dismissed the three shepherds ^(A)in one month. My soul loathed them, and their soul also abhorred me.

³¹ Then ^(A)you will remember your evil ways and your deeds that were not good; and you ^(B)will ^[a]loathe yourselves in your own sight, for your iniquities and your abominations.

⁴³ And ^(A)there you shall remember your ways and all your doings with which you were defiled; and ^(B)you shall ^[a]loathe yourselves in your own sight because of all the evils that you have committed.

⁹ Then those of you who escape will ^(A)remember Me among the nations where they are carried captive, because ^(B)I was crushed by their adulterous heart which has departed from Me, and ^(C)by their eyes which play the harlot after their idols; ^(D)they will loathe themselves for the evils which they committed in all their abominations.
