^7 (A)“So you, ^(B)son of man, I have made a watchman for the house of Israel. ^(C)Whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you shall give them warning from me. ^8 (D)If I say to the wicked, O wicked one, you shall surely die, ^(E)and you do not speak to warn the wicked to turn from his way, ^(F)that wicked person shall die in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand.

²⁰ Therefore, ^(A)we are ambassadors for Christ, ^(B)God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

^18 (A)If I say to the wicked, ^(B)‘You shall surely die,’ ^(C)and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, in order to save his life, that wicked person ^(D)shall die for^[a] his iniquity, ^(E)but his blood I will require at your hand.

² and ^(A)what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses ^(B)entrust to faithful men,^{[a] (C)}who will be able to teach others also.

Christ Jesus Came to Save Sinners

¹² I thank him ^(A)who has given me strength, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he judged me faithful, ^(B)appointing me to his service,

¹⁷ For we are not, like so many, peddlers of God's word, but as men of sincerity, as commissioned by God, in the sight of God we speak in Christ.

² Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful.
