^7 (A)The memory of the righteous is blessed,
But the name of the wicked will rot.

⁶ Surely he will never be shaken;
^(A)The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance.

⁴⁸ For ^(A)He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant;
For behold, henceforth ^(B)all generations will call me blessed.

^13 (A)Let his ^[a]posterity be cut off,
And in the generation following let their ^(B)name be blotted out.

¹⁵ Let them be continually before the Lord,
That He may ^(A)cut off the memory of them from the earth;

⁵ You have rebuked the ^[a]nations,
You have destroyed the wicked;
You have ^(A)blotted out their name forever and ever.

^17 (A)The memory of him perishes from the earth,
And he has no name ^[a]among the renowned.

³⁴ ‘For ^(A)I will ^(B)defend this city, to save it
For My own sake and ^(C)for My servant David’s sake.’ ”
