²⁶ I in turn will laugh^(A) when disaster^(B) strikes you;
    I will mock^(C) when calamity overtakes you^(D)—

⁴ The One enthroned^(A) in heaven laughs;^(B)
    the Lord scoffs at them.

²⁴ What the wicked dread^(A) will overtake them;^(B)
    what the righteous desire will be granted.^(C)

¹³ but the Lord laughs at the wicked,
    for he knows their day is coming.^(A)

¹⁵ Therefore disaster will overtake him in an instant;^(A)
    he will suddenly^(B) be destroyed—without remedy.^(C)
