62 And those that were numbered of them were twenty and three thousand, all males from a month old and upward: for they were not numbered among the children of Israel, because there was no inheritance given them among the children of Israel.

63 These are they that were numbered by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who numbered the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho.

64 But among these there was not a man of them whom Moses and Aaron the priest numbered, when they numbered the children of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai.

65 For the Lord had said of them, They shall surely die in the wilderness. And there was not left a man of them, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.

57 These were the Levites(B) who were counted by their clans:

58 These also were Levite clans:

(Kohath was the forefather of Amram;(C) 59 the name of Amram’s wife was Jochebed,(D) a descendant of Levi, who was born to the Levites[a] in Egypt. To Amram she bore Aaron, Moses(E) and their sister(F) Miriam.(G) 60 Aaron was the father of Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.(H) 61 But Nadab and Abihu(I) died when they made an offering before the Lord with unauthorized fire.)(J)

62 All the male Levites a month old or more numbered 23,000.(K) They were not counted(L) along with the other Israelites because they received no inheritance(M) among them.(N)

63 These are the ones counted(O) by Moses and Eleazar the priest when they counted the Israelites on the plains of Moab(P) by the Jordan across from Jericho.(Q) 64 Not one of them was among those counted(R) by Moses and Aaron(S) the priest when they counted the Israelites in the Desert of Sinai. 65 For the Lord had told those Israelites they would surely die in the wilderness,(T) and not one of them was left except Caleb(U) son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.(V)
