2 ”Tomhet, idel tomhet”[a],
säger Predikaren,
”tomhet, idel tomhet,
allt är tomhet.”
3 Vad får en människa ut av allt sitt arbete,
som hon bemödar sig med under solen?
4 Generationer kommer och generationer går,
men jorden består för evigt.
