¹⁸ When I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely die,^(A)’ and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die for^[a] their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood.^{(B) 19} But if you do warn the wicked person and they do not turn^(C) from their wickedness^(D) or from their evil ways, they will die^(E) for their sin; but you will have saved yourself.^(F)

²⁰ “Again, when a righteous person turns^(G) from their righteousness and does evil, and I put a stumbling block^(H) before them, they will die. Since you did not warn them, they will die for their sin. The righteous things that person did will not be remembered, and I will hold you accountable for their blood.^(I)

⁶ But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes someone’s life, that person’s life will be taken because of their sin, but I will hold the watchman accountable for their blood.’^(A)

³ Those who are wise^[a](A) will shine^(B) like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness,^(C) like the stars for ever and ever.^(D)

¹⁹ “Come, follow me,”^(A) Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”

⁷ As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven^(A) has come near.’

¹⁹ Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,^(A) baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,^(B)

¹⁰ For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”^(A)

³⁵ Don’t you have a saying, ‘It’s still four months until harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.^{(A) 36} Even now the one who reaps draws a wage and harvests^(B) a crop for eternal life,^(C) so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together.
