Stand firm in the Lord
4 Therefore, my brothers and sisters whom I love and miss, who are my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord.
Loved ones, 2 I urge Euodia and I urge Syntyche to come to an agreement in the Lord. 3 Yes, and I’m also asking you, loyal friend, to help these women who have struggled together with me in the ministry of the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my coworkers whose names are in the scroll of life.
4 Be glad in the Lord always! Again I say, be glad! 5 Let your gentleness show in your treatment of all people. The Lord is near. 6 Don’t be anxious about anything; rather, bring up all of your requests to God in your prayers and petitions, along with giving thanks. 7 Then the peace of God that exceeds all understanding will keep your hearts and minds safe in Christ Jesus.
8 From now on, brothers and sisters, if anything is excellent and if anything is admirable, focus your thoughts on these things: all that is true, all that is holy, all that is just, all that is pure, all that is lovely, and all that is worthy of praise. 9 Practice these things: whatever you learned, received, heard, or saw in us. The God of peace will be with you.
Paul’s thanks for gifts
10 I was very glad in the Lord because now at last you have shown concern for me again. (Of course you were always concerned but had no way to show it.) 11 I’m not saying this because I need anything, for I have learned how to be content in any circumstance. 12 I know the experience of being in need and of having more than enough; I have learned the secret to being content in any and every circumstance, whether full or hungry or whether having plenty or being poor. 13 I can endure all these things through the power of the one who gives me strength. 14 Still, you have done well to share my distress.
15 You Philippians know from the time of my first mission work in Macedonia how no church shared in supporting my ministry except you. 16 You sent contributions repeatedly to take care of my needs even while I was in Thessalonica. 17 I’m not hoping for a gift, but I am hoping for a profit that accumulates in your account. 18 I now have plenty and it is more than enough. I am full to overflowing because I received the gifts that you sent from Epaphroditus. Those gifts give off a fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice that pleases God. 19 My God will meet your every need out of his riches in the glory that is found in Christ Jesus. 20 Let glory be given to God our Father forever and always. Amen.
Final greeting
21 Greet all God’s people in Christ Jesus. The brothers and sisters with me send you their greeting. 22 All God’s people here, especially those in Caesar’s household, send you their greeting. 23 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirits.

4 Gläd er alltid i Herren. Än en gång vill jag säga: gläd er. 5 Låt alla människor se hur vänliga ni är. Herren är nära. 6 Gör er inga bekymmer för något utan låt Gud i allt få veta era önskningar genom åkallan och bön med tacksägelse. 7 Då skall Guds frid, som övergår allt förstånd, bevara era hjärtan och era tankar i Kristus Jesus.
8 För övrigt, bröder, allt som är sant och värdigt, rätt och rent, allt som är värt att älska och uppskatta, ja, allt som kallas dygd och förtjänar beröm, tänk på allt sådant. 9 Vad ni har lärt och tagit emot, hört och sett hos mig, det skall ni göra. Då skall fridens Gud vara med er.
Apostelns tack för gåvan
10 Det har glatt mig mycket i Herren att ni till slut har låtit er omtanke om mig blomma upp. Visst tänkte ni redan förut på mig, men då hade ni inte något tillfälle att visa det. 11 Jag säger inte att jag har saknat något, för jag har lärt mig att vara nöjd med det jag har. 12 Jag kan leva enkelt och jag kan leva i överflöd. Med allt och med alla förhållanden är jag förtrogen. Jag kan vara mätt och jag kan vara hungrig, leva i överflöd och lida brist. 13 Allt förmår jag i honom som ger mig kraft. 14 Men ni gjorde väl som hjälpte mig i mitt svåra läge.
15 Ni filipper vet också hur det var under evangeliets första tid, när jag hade lämnat Makedonien. Ni var den enda församling som satte sig i förbindelse med mig, så att räkenskap kunde föras över givet och mottaget. 16 Också när jag var i Tessalonika skickade ni mig både en och två gånger vad jag behövde. 17 Inte så att jag söker gåvan som sådan, utan vad jag söker är att ni skall få en riklig frukt av den gåva ni ger. 18 Jag har fått allt och det i överflöd. Jag har mer än nog sedan jag av Epafroditus har tagit emot gåvan, en ljuvlig doft, ett rätt offer, som Gud tar emot med glädje. 19 Så skall min Gud, efter sin rikedom på ett härligt sätt i Kristus Jesus ge er allt vad ni behöver. 20 Vår Gud och Fader tillhör äran i evigheternas evigheter, amen.

Closing Appeal for Steadfastness and Unity
4 Therefore, my brothers and sisters, you whom I love and long for,(A) my joy and crown, stand firm(B) in the Lord in this way, dear friends!
2 I plead with Euodia and I plead with Syntyche to be of the same mind(C) in the Lord. 3 Yes, and I ask you, my true companion, help these women since they have contended at my side in the cause of the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my co-workers,(D) whose names are in the book of life.(E)
Final Exhortations
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!(F) 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.(G) 6 Do not be anxious about anything,(H) but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.(I) 7 And the peace of God,(J) which transcends all understanding,(K) will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice.(L) And the God of peace(M) will be with you.
Thanks for Their Gifts
10 I rejoiced greatly in the Lord that at last you renewed your concern for me.(N) Indeed, you were concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. 11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content(O) whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry,(P) whether living in plenty or in want.(Q) 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.(R)
14 Yet it was good of you to share(S) in my troubles. 15 Moreover, as you Philippians know, in the early days(T) of your acquaintance with the gospel, when I set out from Macedonia,(U) not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only;(V) 16 for even when I was in Thessalonica,(W) you sent me aid more than once when I was in need.(X) 17 Not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account.(Y) 18 I have received full payment and have more than enough. I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus(Z) the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant(AA) offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God. 19 And my God will meet all your needs(AB) according to the riches of his glory(AC) in Christ Jesus.
20 To our God and Father(AD) be glory for ever and ever. Amen.(AE)

21 Greet all God’s people in Christ Jesus. The brothers and sisters who are with me(AF) send greetings. 22 All God’s people(AG) here send you greetings, especially those who belong to Caesar’s household.
