6 Oroa er inte för någonting, utan be och vädja alltid till Gud, tacka honom och låt honom veta vad ni behöver. 7 Då ska Guds frid, som är djupare än vi någonsin kan förstå, skydda era hjärtan och era tankar i Kristus Jesus.
8 Och nu, syskon, det som är sant, det som är värt respekt och det som är rätt, rent, värt att älska och tala väl om, allt som är förtjänstfullt och värt beröm, håll det i era tankar. 9 Fortsätt att leva enligt den undervisning ni har fått av mig, det som ni har hört eller sett hos mig, och handla på samma sätt. Då ska fridens Gud vara med er.

10 Jag är så glad i Herren över att ni nu äntligen på nytt fått tillfälle att visa att ni vill hjälpa mig. Det ville ni tidigare också men hade inte möjlighet. 11 Det betyder inte att jag tidigare led någon nöd, för jag har lärt mig att vara nöjd med det jag har. 12 Jag klarar både fattigdom och överflöd, för jag har erfarenhet av båda. Jag vet hur det är att vara mätt, och jag vet hur det är att vara hungrig. Ibland har jag haft för mycket och ibland har jag haft för lite. 13 Allt klarar jag av tack vare honom som ger mig kraft. 14 Men jag är ändå väldigt tacksam för att ni ville hjälpa mig i min svåra situation.

6 Do not be anxious about anything,(A) but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.(B) 7 And the peace of God,(C) which transcends all understanding,(D) will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice.(E) And the God of peace(F) will be with you.

10 I rejoiced greatly in the Lord that at last you renewed your concern for me.(G) Indeed, you were concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. 11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content(H) whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry,(I) whether living in plenty or in want.(J) 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.(K)
14 Yet it was good of you to share(L) in my troubles.

6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.
11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
14 Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction.
