¹⁵ And you Philippians^(A) know that in the early days of the gospel,^(B) when I left Macedonia,^(C) no church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving except you alone. ¹⁶ For even in Thessalonica^(D) you sent gifts for my need^(E) several times.

⁸ I robbed other churches by taking pay from them to minister to you. ⁹ When I was present with you and in need, I did not burden anyone, since the brothers who came from Macedonia^(A) supplied my needs.^(B) I have kept myself, and will keep myself, from burdening you in any way.
