Thanks for Their Gifts

10 I rejoiced greatly in the Lord that at last you renewed your concern for me.(A) Indeed, you were concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. 11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content(B) whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry,(C) whether living in plenty or in want.(D) 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.(E)

14 Yet it was good of you to share(F) in my troubles. 15 Moreover, as you Philippians know, in the early days(G) of your acquaintance with the gospel, when I set out from Macedonia,(H) not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only;(I) 16 for even when I was in Thessalonica,(J) you sent me aid more than once when I was in need.(K) 17 Not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account.(L) 18 I have received full payment and have more than enough. I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus(M) the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant(N) offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God. 19 And my God will meet all your needs(O) according to the riches of his glory(P) in Christ Jesus.

20 To our God and Father(Q) be glory for ever and ever. Amen.(R)

Final Greetings

21 Greet all God’s people in Christ Jesus. The brothers and sisters who are with me(S) send greetings. 22 All God’s people(T) here send you greetings, especially those who belong to Caesar’s household.

23 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ(U) be with your spirit.(V) Amen.[a]

Thanksgiving and Prayer

We always thank God,(AB) the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love(AC) you have for all God’s people(AD) the faith and love that spring from the hope(AE) stored up for you in heaven(AF) and about which you have already heard in the true message(AG) of the gospel that has come to you. In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit(AH) and growing throughout the whole world(AI)—just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God’s grace. You learned it from Epaphras,(AJ) our dear fellow servant,[d] who is a faithful minister(AK) of Christ on our[e] behalf, and who also told us of your love in the Spirit.(AL)

For this reason, since the day we heard about you,(AM) we have not stopped praying for you.(AN) We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will(AO) through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,[f](AP) 10 so that you may live a life worthy(AQ) of the Lord and please him(AR) in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,(AS) 11 being strengthened with all power(AT) according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience,(AU)
