²⁰ But ^(A)our citizenship is in heaven, and ^(B)from it we ^(C)await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, ²¹ who will transform ^(D)our lowly body ^(E)to be like his glorious body, ^(F)by the power that enables him even ^(G)to subject all things to himself.

³ And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, ^(A)the dwelling place^[a] of God is with man. He will ^(B)dwell with them, and they will be his people,^[b] and God himself will be with them as their God.^{[c] 4 (C)}He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and ^(D)death shall be no more, ^(E)neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

⁵ And ^(F)he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I ^(G)am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for ^(H)these words are trustworthy and true.” ⁶ And he said to me, ^(I)“It is done! ^(J)I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. ^(K)To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. ^7 (L)The one who conquers will have this heritage, and ^(M)I will be his God and ^(N)he will be my son. ^8 (O)But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, ^(P)their portion will be in ^(Q)the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is ^(R)the second death.”
