²⁰ But our citizenship^(A) is in heaven.^(B) And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,^{(C) 21} who, by the power^(D) that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies^(E) so that they will be like his glorious body.^(F)

⁴⁹ And just as we have borne the image of the earthly man,^(A) so shall we^[a] bear the image of the heavenly man.^(B)

⁵⁰ I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood^(C) cannot inherit the kingdom of God,^(D) nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.^{(E) 51} Listen, I tell you a mystery:^(F) We will not all sleep,^(G) but we will all be changed^(H)— ⁵² in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound,^(I) the dead^(J) will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. ⁵³ For the perishable^(K) must clothe itself with the imperishable,^(L) and the mortal with immortality.
