¹⁷ Join together in following my example,^(A) brothers and sisters, and just as you have us as a model, keep your eyes on those who live as we do.^(B)

⁹ Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice.^(A) And the God of peace^(B) will be with you.

¹⁶ Therefore I urge you to imitate me.^(A)

³ not lording it over^(A) those entrusted to you, but being examples^(B) to the flock.

⁹ We did this, not because we do not have the right to such help,^(A) but in order to offer ourselves as a model for you to imitate.^(B)

⁷ Remember your leaders,^(A) who spoke the word of God^(B) to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate^(C) their faith.

¹² Don’t let anyone look down on you^(A) because you are young, but set an example^(B) for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith^(C) and in purity.

⁷ For you yourselves know how you ought to follow our example.^(A) We were not idle when we were with you,

³² Do not cause anyone to stumble,^(A) whether Jews, Greeks or the church of God^(B)— ³³ even as I try to please everyone in every way.^(C) For I am not seeking my own good but the good of many,^(D) so that they may be saved.^(E) 11 ¹ Follow my example,^(F) as I follow the example of Christ.^(G)
