¹⁷ Brothers and sisters, join in imitating me, and observe those who live according to the example you have in us.^(A)

⁹ As for the things that you have learned and received and heard and noticed in me, do them, and the God of peace will be with you.^(A)

¹⁶ I appeal to you, then, be imitators of me.^(A)

³ Do not lord it over those in your charge, but be examples to the flock.^(A)

¹² Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example in speech and conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.^(A)

⁹ This was not because we do not have that right but in order to give you an example to imitate.^(A)

⁷ For you yourselves know how you ought to imitate us; we were not irresponsible when we were with you,^(A)

⁷ Remember your leaders, those who spoke the word of God to you; consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith.

¹⁴ Take note of those who do not obey what we say in this letter; have nothing to do with them, so that they may be ashamed.^(A)

⁶ And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, for in spite of persecution you received the word with joy from the Holy Spirit,^(A)
