Philippians 1:20-26
American Standard Version
20 according to my earnest expectation and hope, that in nothing shall I be put to shame, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether by life, or by death. 21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. 22 [a]But if to live in the flesh,—if [b]this shall bring fruit from my work, then [c]what I shall choose I know not. 23 But I am in a strait betwixt the two, having the desire to depart and be with Christ; for it is very far better: 24 yet to abide in the flesh is more needful for your sake. 25 And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide, yea, and abide with you all, for your progress and joy [d]in the faith; 26 that your glorying may abound in Christ Jesus in me through my presence with you again.

To Live Is Christ
21 For to me, (F)to live is Christ and to die is gain. 22 [a]But if I am to live on in the flesh, this will mean (G)fruitful labor for me; and I do not know [b]which to choose. 23 But I am hard-pressed from both directions, having the (H)desire to depart and (I)be with Christ, for that is very much better; 24 yet to remain on in the flesh is more necessary for your sake. 25 (J)Convinced of this, I know that I will remain and continue with you all for your progress and joy [c]in the faith, 26 so that your (K)proud confidence in me may abound in Christ Jesus through my coming to you again.
