Ang Salita ng Diyos

Ang Trono sa Langit

4 Pagkatapos ng mga bagay na ito ay tumingin ako. Narito, ang isang bukas na pinto sa langit. At ang unang tinig na aking narinig ay katulad ng isang trumpeta na nagsasalita sa akin. Sinabi nito: Umakyat ka rito. Ipapakita ko sa iyo ang mga bagay na dapat mangyari pagkatapos ng mga bagay na ito.

2 Kaagad, ako ay nasa Espiritu at narito, isang trono ang naroon sa langit at isang nakaupo sa trono. 3 Ang siya na nakaupo ay katulad sa isang batong haspe at isang sardonise. Isang bahaghari ang nakapalibot sa trono na katulad ng isang esmeralda. 4 Dalawampu’t apat na luklukan ang nakapalibot sa tronong iyon. Sa mga luklukang iyon, nakita ko ang dala­wampu’t apat na mga matanda na nakaupo roon. Sila ay nakasuot ng mapuputing damit at sa kanilang mga ulo ay may gintong putong. 5 Mga kidlat at mga kulog at mga tinig ang lumalabas mula sa trono. Pitong ilawan ng apoy ang nagniningas sa harap ng trono. Sila ay ang pitong Espiritu ng Diyos. 6 Sa harap ng trono ay isang lawa ng salamin na katulad ng kristal.

Sa gitna ng trono at sa palibot ng trono ay may apat na buhay na nilalang, puno ng mga mata sa harapan at sa likuran.

7 Ang unang buhay na nilalang ay katulad sa isang leon. Ang ikalawang buhay na nilalang ay katulad ng isang guya. Ang ikatlong buhay na nilalang ay mayroong mukhang katulad ng isang tao. Ang ikaapat na buhay na nilalang ay lumilipad katulad ng isang agila. 8 Ang bawat isa sa apat na buhay na nilalang ay may anim na pakpak sa kaniyang sarili. Puno ng mga mata sa buong palibot at sa loob nila. At hindi sila tumitigil araw at gabi sa pagsasabi ng:

Banal! Banal! Banal! Panginoong Diyos na Makapang­yarihan sa lahat. Siya ang nakaraan, ang kasalukuyan, at ang darating.

9 At nang ang mga buhay na nilalang ay magbibigay papuri at karangalan at pasasalamat sa kaniya na nakaupo sa trono na siyang nabubuhay magpakailan pa man. 10 Ang dala­wampu’t apat na matanda ay magpapatirapa sa harapan ng nakaupo sa trono. Sasambahin nila ang nabubuhay mula sa kapanahunan hanggang sa kapanahunan. At ilalagay nila ang kanilang mga putong sa harapan ng trono. 11 Sasabihin nilang:

O, Panginoon, karapat-dapat kang tumanggap ng kaluwal­hatian at karangalan at kapangyarihan sapagkat nilalang mo ang lahat ng bagay at sa pamamagitan ng iyong kalooban, sila ay naroroon at sila ay nalalang.

4 Μετὰ ταῦτα εἶδον, καὶ ἰδοὺ θύρα ἠνεῳγμένη ἐν τῷ οὐρανῷ, καὶ ἡ φωνὴ ἡ πρώτη ἣν ἤκουσα ὡς σάλπιγγος λαλούσης μετ’ ἐμοῦ, λέγων· Ἀνάβα ὧδε, καὶ δείξω σοι ἃ δεῖ γενέσθαι. μετὰ ταῦτα 2 [a]εὐθέως ἐγενόμην ἐν πνεύματι· καὶ ἰδοὺ θρόνος ἔκειτο ἐν τῷ οὐρανῷ, καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν θρόνον καθήμενος, 3 [b]καὶ ὁ καθήμενος ὅμοιος ὁράσει λίθῳ ἰάσπιδι καὶ σαρδίῳ, καὶ ἶρις κυκλόθεν τοῦ θρόνου [c]ὅμοιος ὁράσει σμαραγδίνῳ. 4 καὶ κυκλόθεν τοῦ θρόνου [d]θρόνοι εἴκοσι τέσσαρες, καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς [e]θρόνους εἴκοσι τέσσαρας πρεσβυτέρους καθημένους περιβεβλημένους [f]ἐν ἱματίοις λευκοῖς, καὶ ἐπὶ τὰς κεφαλὰς αὐτῶν στεφάνους χρυσοῦς. 5 καὶ ἐκ τοῦ θρόνου ἐκπορεύονται ἀστραπαὶ καὶ φωναὶ καὶ βρονταί· καὶ ἑπτὰ λαμπάδες πυρὸς καιόμεναι ἐνώπιον τοῦ θρόνου, [g]ἅ εἰσιν [h]τὰ ἑπτὰ πνεύματα τοῦ θεοῦ, 6 καὶ ἐνώπιον τοῦ θρόνου ὡς θάλασσα ὑαλίνη ὁμοία κρυστάλλῳ.

Καὶ ἐν μέσῳ τοῦ θρόνου καὶ κύκλῳ τοῦ θρόνου τέσσαρα ζῷα γέμοντα ὀφθαλμῶν ἔμπροσθεν καὶ ὄπισθεν· 7 καὶ τὸ ζῷον τὸ πρῶτον ὅμοιον λέοντι, καὶ τὸ δεύτερον ζῷον ὅμοιον μόσχῳ, καὶ τὸ τρίτον ζῷον [i]ἔχων [j]τὸ πρόσωπον ὡς ἀνθρώπου, καὶ τὸ τέταρτον ζῷον ὅμοιον ἀετῷ πετομένῳ· 8 καὶ τὰ τέσσαρα ζῷα, ἓν [k]καθ’ ἓν [l]αὐτῶν [m]ἔχων ἀνὰ πτέρυγας ἕξ, κυκλόθεν καὶ ἔσωθεν γέμουσιν ὀφθαλμῶν· καὶ ἀνάπαυσιν οὐκ ἔχουσιν ἡμέρας καὶ νυκτὸς λέγοντες· Ἅγιος ἅγιος ἅγιος κύριος, ὁ θεός, ὁ παντοκράτωρ, ὁ ἦν καὶ ὁ ὢν καὶ ὁ ἐρχόμενος. 9 καὶ ὅταν [n]δώσουσιν τὰ ζῷα δόξαν καὶ τιμὴν καὶ εὐχαριστίαν τῷ καθημένῳ ἐπὶ [o]τῷ θρόνῳ, τῷ ζῶντι εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας τῶν αἰώνων, 10 πεσοῦνται οἱ εἴκοσι τέσσαρες πρεσβύτεροι ἐνώπιον τοῦ καθημένου ἐπὶ τοῦ θρόνου, καὶ προσκυνήσουσιν τῷ ζῶντι εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας τῶν αἰώνων, καὶ βαλοῦσιν τοὺς στεφάνους αὐτῶν ἐνώπιον τοῦ θρόνου, λέγοντες· 11 Ἄξιος εἶ, ὁ κύριος καὶ ὁ θεὸς [p]ἡμῶν, λαβεῖν τὴν δόξαν καὶ τὴν τιμὴν καὶ τὴν δύναμιν, ὅτι σὺ ἔκτισας [q]τὰ πάντα, καὶ διὰ τὸ θέλημά σου ἦσαν καὶ ἐκτίσθησαν.

4 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.

3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.

4 And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.

5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

6 And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.

7 And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.

8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

9 And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,

10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

The Throne in Heaven

4 After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open(A) in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet(B) said, “Come up here,(C) and I will show you what must take place after this.”(D) 2 At once I was in the Spirit,(E) and there before me was a throne in heaven(F) with someone sitting on it. 3 And the one who sat there had the appearance of jasper(G) and ruby.(H) A rainbow(I) that shone like an emerald(J) encircled the throne. 4 Surrounding the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and seated on them were twenty-four elders.(K) They were dressed in white(L) and had crowns of gold on their heads. 5 From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder.(M) In front of the throne, seven lamps(N) were blazing. These are the seven spirits[a](O) of God. 6 Also in front of the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass,(P) clear as crystal.

In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures,(Q) and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back.(R) 7 The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like a flying eagle.(S) 8 Each of the four living creatures(T) had six wings(U) and was covered with eyes all around,(V) even under its wings. Day and night(W) they never stop saying:

“‘Holy, holy, holy

is the Lord God Almighty,’[b](X)

who was, and is, and is to come.”(Y)

9 Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne(Z) and who lives for ever and ever,(AA) 10 the twenty-four elders(AB) fall down before him(AC) who sits on the throne(AD) and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say:

11 “You are worthy, our Lord and God,
    to receive glory and honor and power,(AE)
for you created all things,
    and by your will they were created
    and have their being.”(AF)
