⁹ The Lord is a refuge^(A) for the oppressed,^(B)
    a stronghold in times of trouble.^(C)
10 Those who know your name^(D) trust in you,
    for you, Lord, have never forsaken^(E) those who seek you.^(F)

⁸ My heart says of you, “Seek his face!^(A)”
    Your face, Lord, I will seek.
⁹ Do not hide your face^(B) from me,
    do not turn your servant away in anger;^(C)
    you have been my helper.^(D)
Do not reject me or forsake^(E) me,
    God my Savior.^(F)
10 Though my father and mother forsake me,
    the Lord will receive me.
¹¹ Teach me your way,^(G) Lord;
    lead me in a straight path^(H)
    because of my oppressors.^(I)
12 Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes,
    for false witnesses^(J) rise up against me,
    spouting malicious accusations.

¹³ I remain confident of this:
    I will see the goodness of the Lord^(K)
    in the land of the living.^(L)
14 Wait^(M) for the Lord;
    be strong^(N) and take heart
    and wait for the Lord.
