  1. Psalm 126:4 Or Bring back our captives

22 因為我謹守了耶和華的道;

我也謹守自己,脫離我的罪孽;

26 對慈愛的人,你顯出你的慈愛;

27 對清潔的人,你顯出你的清潔;

28 謙卑的人,你要拯救;

29 耶和華啊!你是我的燈;

30 藉著你,我攻破敵軍;

31 這位 神,他的道路是完全的;

耶和華的話是煉淨的;

36 你把你救恩的盾牌賜給我;

39 我吞滅他們,重創他們,使他們不能起來;

40 你以能力給我束腰,使我能夠作戰;

42 他們呼叫,卻沒有人拯救;

43 我搗碎他們,像地上的塵土;

你立我作列國的元首;

45 外族人都向我假意歸順;

他們一聽見,就服從我;

47 耶和華是永活的,我的磐石是應當稱頌的;

他與我立了永遠的約;

21 “The Lord has dealt with me according to my righteousness;(A)
    according to the cleanness(B) of my hands(C) he has rewarded me.
22 For I have kept(D) the ways of the Lord;
    I am not guilty of turning from my God.
23 All his laws are before me;(E)
    I have not turned(F) away from his decrees.
24 I have been blameless(G) before him
    and have kept myself from sin.
25 The Lord has rewarded me according to my righteousness,(H)
    according to my cleanness[a] in his sight.

26 “To the faithful you show yourself faithful,
    to the blameless you show yourself blameless,
27 to the pure(I) you show yourself pure,
    but to the devious you show yourself shrewd.(J)
28 You save the humble,(K)
    but your eyes are on the haughty(L) to bring them low.(M)
29 You, Lord, are my lamp;(N)
    the Lord turns my darkness into light.
30 With your help I can advance against a troop[b];
    with my God I can scale a wall.

31 “As for God, his way is perfect:(O)
    The Lord’s word is flawless;(P)
    he shields(Q) all who take refuge in him.
32 For who is God besides the Lord?
    And who is the Rock(R) except our God?(S)
33 It is God who arms me with strength[c]
    and keeps my way secure.
34 He makes my feet like the feet of a deer;(T)
    he causes me to stand on the heights.(U)
35 He trains my hands(V) for battle;
    my arms can bend a bow(W) of bronze.
36 You make your saving help my shield;(X)
    your help has made[d] me great.
37 You provide a broad path(Y) for my feet,
    so that my ankles do not give way.

38 “I pursued my enemies and crushed them;
    I did not turn back till they were destroyed.
39 I crushed(Z) them completely, and they could not rise;
    they fell beneath my feet.
40 You armed me with strength for battle;
    you humbled my adversaries before me.(AA)
41 You made my enemies turn their backs(AB) in flight,
    and I destroyed my foes.
42 They cried for help,(AC) but there was no one to save them—(AD)
    to the Lord, but he did not answer.(AE)
43 I beat them as fine as the dust(AF) of the earth;
    I pounded and trampled(AG) them like mud(AH) in the streets.

44 “You have delivered(AI) me from the attacks of the peoples;
    you have preserved(AJ) me as the head of nations.
People(AK) I did not know now serve me,
45     foreigners cower(AL) before me;
    as soon as they hear of me, they obey me.(AM)
46 They all lose heart;
    they come trembling[e](AN) from their strongholds.

47 “The Lord lives! Praise be to my Rock!
    Exalted(AO) be my God, the Rock, my Savior!(AP)
48 He is the God who avenges(AQ) me,(AR)
    who puts the nations under me,
49     who sets me free from my enemies.(AS)
You exalted me(AT) above my foes;
    from a violent man you rescued me.
50 Therefore I will praise you, Lord, among the nations;
    I will sing the praises(AU) of your name.(AV)

51 “He gives his king great victories;(AW)
    he shows unfailing kindness to his anointed,(AX)
    to David(AY) and his descendants forever.”(AZ)

David’s Last Words

23 These are the last words of David:

“The inspired utterance of David son of Jesse,
    the utterance of the man exalted(BA) by the Most High,
the man anointed(BB) by the God of Jacob,
    the hero of Israel’s songs:

“The Spirit(BC) of the Lord spoke through me;
    his word was on my tongue.
The God of Israel spoke,
    the Rock(BD) of Israel said to me:
‘When one rules over people in righteousness,(BE)
    when he rules in the fear(BF) of God,(BG)
he is like the light(BH) of morning(BI) at sunrise(BJ)
    on a cloudless morning,
like the brightness after rain(BK)
    that brings grass from the earth.’

“If my house were not right with God,
    surely he would not have made with me an everlasting covenant,(BL)
    arranged and secured in every part;
surely he would not bring to fruition my salvation
    and grant me my every desire.
But evil men are all to be cast aside like thorns,(BM)
    which are not gathered with the hand.
Whoever touches thorns
    uses a tool of iron or the shaft of a spear;
    they are burned up where they lie.”

David’s Mighty Warriors(BN)

These are the names of David’s mighty warriors:(BO)

Josheb-Basshebeth,[f](BP) a Tahkemonite,[g] was chief of the Three; he raised his spear against eight hundred men, whom he killed[h] in one encounter.

Next to him was Eleazar son of Dodai(BQ) the Ahohite.(BR) As one of the three mighty warriors, he was with David when they taunted the Philistines gathered at Pas Dammim[i] for battle. Then the Israelites retreated, 10 but Eleazar stood his ground and struck down the Philistines till his hand grew tired and froze to the sword. The Lord brought about a great victory that day. The troops returned to Eleazar, but only to strip the dead.

11 Next to him was Shammah son of Agee the Hararite. When the Philistines banded together at a place where there was a field full of lentils, Israel’s troops fled from them. 12 But Shammah took his stand in the middle of the field. He defended it and struck the Philistines down, and the Lord brought about a great victory.

13 During harvest time, three of the thirty chief warriors came down to David at the cave of Adullam,(BS) while a band of Philistines was encamped in the Valley of Rephaim.(BT) 14 At that time David was in the stronghold,(BU) and the Philistine garrison was at Bethlehem.(BV) 15 David longed for water and said, “Oh, that someone would get me a drink of water from the well near the gate of Bethlehem!” 16 So the three mighty warriors broke through the Philistine lines, drew water from the well near the gate of Bethlehem and carried it back to David. But he refused to drink it; instead, he poured(BW) it out before the Lord. 17 “Far be it from me, Lord, to do this!” he said. “Is it not the blood(BX) of men who went at the risk of their lives?” And David would not drink it.

Such were the exploits of the three mighty warriors.

18 Abishai(BY) the brother of Joab son of Zeruiah was chief of the Three.[j] He raised his spear against three hundred men, whom he killed, and so he became as famous as the Three. 19 Was he not held in greater honor than the Three? He became their commander, even though he was not included among them.

20 Benaiah(BZ) son of Jehoiada, a valiant fighter from Kabzeel,(CA) performed great exploits. He struck down Moab’s two mightiest warriors. He also went down into a pit on a snowy day and killed a lion. 21 And he struck down a huge Egyptian. Although the Egyptian had a spear in his hand, Benaiah went against him with a club. He snatched the spear from the Egyptian’s hand and killed him with his own spear. 22 Such were the exploits of Benaiah son of Jehoiada; he too was as famous as the three mighty warriors. 23 He was held in greater honor than any of the Thirty, but he was not included among the Three. And David put him in charge of his bodyguard.

有血、有火、有煙霧;

The Holy Spirit Comes at Pentecost

When the day of Pentecost(A) came, they were all together(B) in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.(C) They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit(D) and began to speak in other tongues[a](E) as the Spirit enabled them.

Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing(F) Jews from every nation under heaven. When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken. Utterly amazed,(G) they asked: “Aren’t all these who are speaking Galileans?(H) Then how is it that each of us hears them in our native language? Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia,(I) Pontus(J) and Asia,[b](K) 10 Phrygia(L) and Pamphylia,(M) Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene;(N) visitors from Rome 11 (both Jews and converts to Judaism); Cretans and Arabs—we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!” 12 Amazed and perplexed, they asked one another, “What does this mean?”

13 Some, however, made fun of them and said, “They have had too much wine.”(O)

Peter Addresses the Crowd

14 Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: “Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say. 15 These people are not drunk, as you suppose. It’s only nine in the morning!(P) 16 No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:

17 “‘In the last days, God says,
    I will pour out my Spirit on all people.(Q)
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,(R)
    your young men will see visions,
    your old men will dream dreams.
18 Even on my servants, both men and women,
    I will pour out my Spirit in those days,
    and they will prophesy.(S)
19 I will show wonders in the heavens above
    and signs on the earth below,(T)
    blood and fire and billows of smoke.
20 The sun will be turned to darkness
    and the moon to blood(U)
    before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.
21 And everyone who calls
    on the name of the Lord(V) will be saved.’[c](W)

22 “Fellow Israelites, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth(X) was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs,(Y) which God did among you through him,(Z) as you yourselves know. 23 This man was handed over to you by God’s deliberate plan and foreknowledge;(AA) and you, with the help of wicked men,[d] put him to death by nailing him to the cross.(AB) 24 But God raised him from the dead,(AC) freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.(AD) 25 David said about him:

“‘I saw the Lord always before me.
    Because he is at my right hand,
    I will not be shaken.
26 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
    my body also will rest in hope,
27 because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead,
    you will not let your holy one see decay.(AE)
28 You have made known to me the paths of life;
    you will fill me with joy in your presence.’[e](AF)

29 “Fellow Israelites,(AG) I can tell you confidently that the patriarch(AH) David died and was buried,(AI) and his tomb is here(AJ) to this day. 30 But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that he would place one of his descendants on his throne.(AK) 31 Seeing what was to come, he spoke of the resurrection of the Messiah, that he was not abandoned to the realm of the dead, nor did his body see decay.(AL) 32 God has raised this Jesus to life,(AM) and we are all witnesses(AN) of it. 33 Exalted(AO) to the right hand of God,(AP) he has received from the Father(AQ) the promised Holy Spirit(AR) and has poured out(AS) what you now see and hear. 34 For David did not ascend to heaven, and yet he said,

“‘The Lord said to my Lord:
    “Sit at my right hand
35 until I make your enemies
    a footstool for your feet.”’[f](AT)

36 “Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord(AU) and Messiah.”(AV)

37 When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”(AW)

38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized,(AX) every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.(AY) And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.(AZ) 39 The promise is for you and your children(BA) and for all who are far off(BB)—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”

40 With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.”(BC) 41 Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number(BD) that day.

The Fellowship of the Believers

42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching(BE) and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread(BF) and to prayer.(BG) 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles.(BH) 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common.(BI) 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.(BJ) 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts.(BK) They broke bread(BL) in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people.(BM) And the Lord added to their number(BN) daily those who were being saved.
