7 Han llegado los días del castigo(A),
han llegado los días de la retribución(B);
¡que lo sepa Israel[a]!
Un insensato es el profeta(C),
un loco el hombre inspirado[b](D),
a causa de la magnitud de tu culpa(E),
y por tu mucha hostilidad.
8 Vigía con mi Dios era Efraín, un profeta;
sin embargo el lazo de cazador[c] está en todos sus caminos,
y en la casa de su Dios hay solo hostilidad.
9 Se han corrompido profundamente[d](F)
como en los días de Guibeá(G);
Él se acordará de su iniquidad(H),
castigará sus pecados.

7 The days of punishment(A) are coming,
the days of reckoning(B) are at hand.
Let Israel know this.
Because your sins(C) are so many
and your hostility so great,
the prophet is considered a fool,(D)
the inspired person a maniac.(E)
8 The prophet, along with my God,
is the watchman over Ephraim,[a]
yet snares(F) await him on all his paths,
and hostility in the house of his God.(G)
9 They have sunk deep into corruption,(H)
as in the days of Gibeah.(I)
God will remember(J) their wickedness
and punish them for their sins.(K)
