6 Venid y volvamos a Jehová; porque él arrebató, y nos curará; hirió, y nos vendará. 2 Nos dará vida después de dos días; en el tercer día nos resucitará,(A) y viviremos delante de él. 3 Y conoceremos, y proseguiremos en conocer a Jehová; como el alba está dispuesta su salida, y vendrá a nosotros como la lluvia, como la lluvia tardía y temprana a la tierra.
4 ¿Qué haré a ti, Efraín? ¿Qué haré a ti, oh Judá? La piedad vuestra es como nube de la mañana, y como el rocío de la madrugada, que se desvanece. 5 Por esta causa los corté por medio de los profetas, con las palabras de mi boca los maté; y tus juicios serán como luz que sale. 6 Porque misericordia quiero, y no sacrificio,(B) y conocimiento de Dios más que holocaustos.
7 Mas ellos, cual Adán, traspasaron el pacto; allí prevaricaron contra mí. 8 Galaad, ciudad de hacedores de iniquidad, manchada de sangre. 9 Y como ladrones que esperan a algún hombre, así una compañía de sacerdotes mata en el camino hacia Siquem; así cometieron abominación. 10 En la casa de Israel he visto inmundicia; allí fornicó Efraín, y se contaminó Israel.
11 Para ti también, oh Judá, está preparada una siega, cuando yo haga volver el cautiverio de mi pueblo.

La recompensa por regresar al Señor
6 Volvamos al SEÑOR.
Él nos destrozó, pero nos sanará.
Nos hirió, pero nos vendará la herida.
2 En dos días él nos volverá a dar la vida,
y al tercer día nos pondrá en pie.
Entonces podremos vivir en su presencia.
3 Esforcémonos por conocer al SEÑOR,
hasta estar tan seguros en él
como de que el amanecer llegará.
Vendrá a nosotros como la lluvia,
como el agua fresca que cae sobre la tierra.
4 «Efraín, ¿qué voy a hacer contigo?
Judá, ¿qué voy a hacer contigo?
La fidelidad de ustedes
es como las nubes de la tarde
o como el rocío de la mañana,
desaparece rápidamente.
5 Así que les mandé a mis profetas hablando de muerte
para partirles el corazón.
Todos pueden ver que soy justo al castigarlos;
está tan claro como el día.
6 Lo que yo deseo de ti es fiel amor
y no sacrificio.
Quiero que ustedes me conozcan,
no que me hagan ofrendas.
7 Pero Efraín y Judá rompieron el pacto como hizo Adán.[a]
Me traicionaron allí.
8 Galaad está lleno de delincuentes;
es un lugar lleno de sangre.
9 Los sacerdotes, como si fueran ladrones,
atacan a la gente en el camino a Siquén.
Llevan a cabo sus planes malignos.
10 He visto algo horrible
en la nación de Israel:
Efraín no es fiel a Dios.
Israel está impuro.
11 »Judá, para ti también habrá tiempo de cosecha
cuando libere a mi pueblo del cautiverio.

6 Come, and let us return unto Hashem; for He hath torn, and He will heal us; He hath struck, and He will bind us up.
2 After two days He will revive us; in the Yom HaShelishi He will raise us up, and we shall live in His sight.
3 Then shall we know, if we follow on to know Hashem; His going forth is prepared as the shachar (dawn); and He shall come unto us as the geshem (winter rain), as the malkosh (spring rain, i.e., as the latter and former rain, which is the winter and spring rain) unto ha’aretz.
4 O Ephrayim, what shall I do unto thee? O Yehudah, what shall I do with thee? For your chesed (faithfulness, loyalty) is as an anan boker (morning cloud), and as the early dew that disappears.
5 Therefore have I cut them to pieces with the nevi’im; I have slain them by the words of My mouth; thy mishpatim are as the ohr (light, lightning) that goeth forth.
6 For I desired chesed, and not zevach; and the da’as Elohim more than olot (burnt offerings). [Mt 9:13 OJBC]
7 But they are like Adam, they have transgressed the brit (covenant); there have they dealt treacherously against Me.
8 Gil`ad is a city of evildoers, is trodden with dahm.
9 And as gedudim (marauders) lie in wait for a man, so the chever (band) [of] kohanim murder in the way to Shechem; for they commit shameful crimes.
10 I have seen a horrible thing in Bais Yisroel: there is the zenut (whoredom) of Ephrayim; Yisroel is tameh (unclean, defiled).
11 Also, O Yehudah, he hath set a katzir (harvest [of punishment]) for thee, when I turn the Shevut Ami (Captivity of My people, i.e., restore their fortunes).
