Castigo de la apostasía de Israel

5 Sacerdotes, oíd esto, y estad atentos, casa de Israel, y casa del rey, escuchad; porque contra vosotros es el juicio, pues habéis sido un lazo en Mizpá, y una red tendida sobre el Tabor.

2 Los apóstatas se han hundido hasta lo profundo en la matanza; pero yo soy un correctivo para todos ellos.

3 Yo conozco a Efraín, e Israel no me es desconocido; porque ahora, oh Efraín, te has prostituido, y se ha contaminado Israel.

4 No les permiten sus obras convertirse a su Dios, porque espíritu de fornicación hay dentro de ellos, y no conocen a Jehová.

5 La soberbia de Israel testifica contra él; Israel y Efraín tropezarán en su pecado, y Judá tropezará también con ellos.

6 Con sus ovejas y con sus vacas andarán buscando a Jehová, y no le hallarán; se apartó de ellos.

7 Han traicionado a Jehová, porque han engendrado hijos bastardos; ahora la luna nueva los consumirá a ellos y sus heredades.

8 Tocad el cuerno en Guibeá, la trompeta en Ramá; sonad alarma en Bet-aven; alerta, oh Benjamín.

9 Efraín será asolado en el día del castigo; en las tribus de Israel hago saber cosa segura.

10 Los príncipes de Judá fueron como los que desplazan los linderos; derramaré sobre ellos como agua mi ira.

11 Efraín es vejado, quebrantado en juicio, porque se complace en seguir su propia norma.

12 Yo, pues, seré como polilla a Efraín, y como carcoma a la casa de Judá.

13 Efraín ve su enfermedad, y Judá su llaga; acude entonces Efraín a Asiria, y envía mensaje a un rey vengador; mas él no os podrá sanar, ni os curará la llaga.

14 Porque yo seré como león a Efraín, y como cachorro de león a la casa de Judá; yo, yo mismo haré presa, y me iré; arrebataré, y no habrá quien liberte.

Insinceridad del arrepentimiento de Israel

15 Voy a volverme de ellos a mi lugar, hasta que reconozcan su pecado y busquen mi rostro. En su angustia me buscarán.

5 Các thầy tế lễ, hãy nghe đây!
    Hỡi dân Y-sơ-ra-ên, hãy lưu ý!
Cả hoàng tộc, hãy lắng tai!
    Đây là sự phán xét cho các ngươi,
Các ngươi là cái bẫy tại Mích-ba,
    Là lưới giăng trên núi Tha-bô,
2 Si-tim đã lún sâu trong sự tàn sát.
    Vậy Ta sẽ trừng trị tất cả các ngươi.
3 Ta, chính Ta, biết rõ Ép-ra-im,
    Y-sơ-ra-ên không che giấu khỏi Ta được.
Ép-ra-im, vì bây giờ ngươi sống dâm loạn,
    Cho nên Y-sơ-ra-ên bị ô uế.
4 Việc làm của chúng ngăn trở chúng
    Quay về với Đức Chúa Trời mình.
Chúng không nhận biết CHÚA
    Vì linh tà dâm ở trong chúng.
5 Sự kiêu ngạo của Y-sơ-ra-ên đã tố cáo nó,
    Ép-ra-im sẽ vấp ngã trong tội ác mình,
    Giu-đa cũng sẽ vấp ngã theo.
6 Chúng sẽ đem chiên và bò
    Đi tìm kiếm CHÚA,
Nhưng chúng sẽ không tìm được,
    Vì Ngài đã tránh mặt chúng.
7 Chúng đã phản bội CHÚA,
    Vì chúng đã sanh ra con hoang.
Vậy bây giờ, ngày Trăng Mới sẽ ăn nuốt chúng
    Và đất đai vườn tược chúng.

CHÚA Cảnh Cáo Y-sơ-ra-ên Và Giu-đa

8 Hãy thổi tù và ở Ghi-bê-a,
    Hãy thổi còi ở Ra-ma,
Hãy lớn tiếng báo động ở Bết A-ven,
    Bên-gia-min, hãy coi chừng!
9 Ép-ra-im sẽ điêu tàn
    Trong ngày sửa phạt;
Ta đã thông báo cho các bộ tộc Y-sơ-ra-ên
    Biết điều chắc chắn sẽ xảy ra.
10 Các nhà lãnh đạo dân Giu-đa giống như
    Bọn dời mộc giới,
Ta sẽ trút cơn phẫn nộ Ta xuống trên chúng
    Như thác đổ.
11 Ép-ra-im bị áp bức,
    Quyền lợi nó bị chà đạp,
    Vì nó đã quyết lòng chạy theo điều vô nghĩa.
12 Nhưng Ta, Ta giống như là con mối[a] đối với Ép-ra-im.
    Chất làm cho mục nát đối với dân Giu-đa.
13 Khi Ép-ra-im thấy mình mắc bệnh,
    Và Giu-đa thấy vết thương mình cương mủ,
Ép-ra-im liền phái người qua A-si-ri,
    Cầu cứu với vua vĩ đại.
Nhưng vua ấy không thể chữa lành bệnh các ngươi,
    Cũng không thể rịt lành thương tích các ngươi.
14 Vì chính Ta sẽ giống như sư tử đối với Ép-ra-im,
    Như sư tử tơ đối với dân Giu-đa.
Phải, chính Ta sẽ xé nát và bỏ đi.
    Ta sẽ tha mồi đi, và không ai tiếp cứu được.
15 Ta sẽ đi về nơi Ta ngự,
    Cho đến khi nào chúng gánh hết hậu quả tội lỗi mình,
Và tìm kiếm Ta.
    Trong cơn hoạn nạn, chúng sẽ tìm kiếm Ta tha thiết.

Judgment Against Israel

5 “Hear this, you priests!
    Pay attention, you Israelites!
Listen, royal house!
    This judgment(A) is against you:
You have been a snare(B) at Mizpah,
    a net(C) spread out on Tabor.
2 The rebels are knee-deep in slaughter.(D)
    I will discipline all of them.(E)
3 I know all about Ephraim;
    Israel is not hidden(F) from me.
Ephraim, you have now turned to prostitution;
    Israel is corrupt.(G)

4 “Their deeds do not permit them
    to return(H) to their God.
A spirit of prostitution(I) is in their heart;
    they do not acknowledge(J) the Lord.
5 Israel’s arrogance testifies(K) against them;
    the Israelites, even Ephraim, stumble(L) in their sin;
    Judah also stumbles with them.(M)
6 When they go with their flocks and herds
    to seek the Lord,(N)
they will not find him;
    he has withdrawn(O) himself from them.
7 They are unfaithful(P) to the Lord;
    they give birth to illegitimate(Q) children.
When they celebrate their New Moon feasts,(R)
    he will devour[a](S) their fields.

8 “Sound the trumpet(T) in Gibeah,(U)
    the horn in Ramah.(V)
Raise the battle cry in Beth Aven[b];(W)
    lead on, Benjamin.
9 Ephraim will be laid waste(X)
    on the day of reckoning.(Y)
Among the tribes of Israel
    I proclaim what is certain.(Z)
10 Judah’s leaders are like those
    who move boundary stones.(AA)
I will pour out my wrath(AB) on them
    like a flood of water.
11 Ephraim is oppressed,
    trampled in judgment,
    intent on pursuing idols.[c](AC)
12 I am like a moth(AD) to Ephraim,
    like rot(AE) to the people of Judah.

13 “When Ephraim(AF) saw his sickness,
    and Judah his sores,
then Ephraim turned to Assyria,(AG)
    and sent to the great king for help.(AH)
But he is not able to cure(AI) you,
    not able to heal your sores.(AJ)
14 For I will be like a lion(AK) to Ephraim,
    like a great lion to Judah.
I will tear them to pieces(AL) and go away;
    I will carry them off, with no one to rescue them.(AM)
15 Then I will return to my lair(AN)
    until they have borne their guilt(AO)
    and seek my face(AP)—
in their misery(AQ)
    they will earnestly seek me.(AR)”
