¹⁵ “The day of the Lord is near^(A)
    for all nations.
As you have done, it will be done to you;
    your deeds^(B) will return upon your own head.

⁸ Because you have plundered many nations,
    the peoples who are left will plunder you.^(A)
For you have shed human blood;^(B)
    you have destroyed lands and cities and everyone in them.^(C)

³ For the day is near,^(A)
    the day of the Lord^(B) is near—
a day of clouds,
    a time of doom for the nations.

¹⁵ I will take vengeance^(A) in anger and wrath
    on the nations that have not obeyed me.”

¹¹ Come quickly, all you nations from every side,
    and assemble^(A) there.

Bring down your warriors,^(B) Lord!

¹² “Let the nations be roused;
    let them advance into the Valley of Jehoshaphat,^(C)
for there I will sit
    to judge^(D) all the nations on every side.
¹³ Swing the sickle,^(E)
    for the harvest^(F) is ripe.
Come, trample the grapes,^(G)
    for the winepress^(H) is full
    and the vats overflow—
so great is their wickedness!”

¹⁴ Multitudes,^(I) multitudes
    in the valley^(J) of decision!
For the day of the Lord^(K) is near
    in the valley of decision.^(L)

²⁹ “Summon archers against Babylon,
    all those who draw the bow.^(A)
Encamp all around her;
    let no one escape.^(B)
Repay^(C) her for her deeds;^(D)
    do to her as she has done.
For she has defied^(E) the Lord,
    the Holy One^(F) of Israel.

⁸ Daughter Babylon, doomed to destruction,^(A)
    happy is the one who repays you
    according to what you have done to us.
