^4 (A)Though you ascend as high as the eagle,
And though you ^(B)set your nest among the stars,
From there I will bring you down,” says the Lord.

^6 (A)Though his haughtiness mounts up to the heavens,
And his head reaches to the clouds,
⁷ Yet he will perish forever like his own refuse;
Those who have seen him will say, ‘Where is he?’

¹² “How^(A) you are fallen from heaven,
O ^[a]Lucifer, son of the morning!
How you are cut down to the ground,
You who weakened the nations!
¹³ For you have said in your heart:
^(B)‘I will ascend into heaven,
^(C)I will exalt my throne above the stars of God;
I will also sit on the ^(D)mount of the congregation
^(E)On the farthest sides of the north;
¹⁴ I will ascend above the heights of the clouds,
^(F)I will be like the Most High.’
¹⁵ Yet you ^(G)shall be brought down to Sheol,
To the ^[b]lowest depths of the Pit.
