²⁸en de priester zal verzoening over hem doen tegenover de Here, dan zal hij vergeving ontvangen. ²⁹Hetzelfde geldt voor de buitenlander die bij u woont. ³⁰Maar iemand die deze overtreding opzettelijk maakt, ongeacht of hij een geboren Israëliet of een buitenlander is, beledigt de Here en zal worden verstoten uit het volk.

Numbers 15:28-30

New International Version

²⁸The priest is to make atonement^(A) before the Lord for the one who erred by sinning unintentionally, and when atonement has been made, that person will be forgiven.^(B) ²⁹One and the same law applies to everyone who sins unintentionally, whether a native-born Israelite or a foreigner residing among you.^(C)

³⁰“‘But anyone who sins defiantly,^(D) whether native-born or foreigner,^(E) blasphemes the Lord^(F) and must be cut off from the people of Israel.^(G)

²⁸And the priest shall make an atonement for the soul that sinneth ignorantly, when he sinneth by ignorance before the Lord, to make an atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him.

²⁹Ye shall have one law for him that sinneth through ignorance, both for him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them.

³⁰But the soul that doeth ought presumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the Lord; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
