Arrangement of the Lamps(A)
8 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 2 “Speak to Aaron, and say to him, ‘When you (B)arrange the lamps, the seven (C)lamps shall give light in front of the lampstand.’ ” 3 And Aaron did so; he arranged the lamps to face toward the front of the lampstand, as the Lord commanded Moses. 4 (D)Now this workmanship of the lampstand was hammered gold; from its shaft to its flowers it was (E)hammered work. (F)According to the pattern which the Lord had shown Moses, so he made the lampstand.
Cleansing and Dedication of the Levites
5 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 6 “Take the Levites from among the children of Israel and cleanse them ceremonially. 7 Thus you shall do to them to cleanse them: Sprinkle (G)water of purification on them, and (H)let[a] them shave all their body, and let them wash their clothes, and so make themselves clean. 8 Then let them take a young bull with (I)its grain offering of fine flour mixed with oil, and you shall take another young bull as a sin offering. 9 (J)And you shall bring the Levites before the tabernacle of meeting, (K)and you shall gather together the whole congregation of the children of Israel. 10 So you shall bring the Levites before the Lord, and the children of Israel (L)shall lay their hands on the Levites; 11 and Aaron shall [b]offer the Levites before the Lord like a (M)wave offering from the children of Israel, that they may perform the work of the Lord. 12 (N)Then the Levites shall lay their hands on the heads of the young bulls, and you shall offer one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering to the Lord, to make atonement for the Levites.
13 “And you shall stand the Levites before Aaron and his sons, and then offer them like a wave offering to the Lord. 14 Thus you shall (O)separate the Levites from among the children of Israel, and the Levites shall be (P)Mine. 15 After that the Levites shall go in to service the tabernacle of meeting. So you shall cleanse them and (Q)offer them like a wave offering. 16 For they are (R)wholly given to Me from among the children of Israel; I have taken them for Myself (S)instead of all who open the womb, the firstborn of all the children of Israel. 17 (T)For all the firstborn among the children of Israel are Mine, both man and beast; on the day that I struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt I [c]sanctified them to Myself. 18 I have taken the Levites instead of all the firstborn of the children of Israel. 19 And (U)I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the work for the children of Israel in the tabernacle of meeting, and to make atonement for the children of Israel, (V)that there be no plague among the children of Israel when the children of Israel come near the sanctuary.”
20 Thus Moses and Aaron and all the congregation of the children of Israel did to the Levites; according to all that the Lord commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so the children of Israel did to them. 21 (W)And the Levites purified themselves and washed their clothes; then Aaron presented them like a wave offering before the Lord, and Aaron made atonement for them to cleanse them. 22 (X)After that the Levites went in to do their work in the tabernacle of meeting before Aaron and his sons; (Y)as the Lord commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so they did to them.
23 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 24 “This is what pertains to the Levites: (Z)From twenty-five years old and above one may enter to perform service in the work of the tabernacle of meeting; 25 and at the age of fifty years they must cease performing this work, and shall work no more. 26 They may minister with their brethren in the tabernacle of meeting, (AA)to attend to needs, but they themselves shall do no work. Thus you shall do to the Levites regarding their duties.”

8 CHÚA phán dạy Môi-se: 2 “Con hãy bảo A-rôn: Khi nào anh sắp đặt các cây đèn, phải để bảy cây đèn chiếu soi phía trước chân đèn.
3 A-rôn vâng theo, đặt bảy cây đèn lên phía trước chân đèn y như CHÚA đã phán dạy Môi-se. 4 Chân đèn đã được chế tạo bằng vàng dát mỏng, cả đến chân và các hoa cũng đều đánh dát. Như thế, người ta làm chân đèn đúng theo kiểu CHÚA đã chỉ cho Môi-se xem.
Biệt Riêng Người Lê-vi Cho Chúa
5 CHÚA phán bảo Môi-se: 6 Con hãy phân rẽ người Lê-vi với toàn dân Y-sơ-ra-ên và thanh tẩy họ. 7 Đây là cách thanh tẩy họ: Con hãy rảy nước tẩy trên họ rồi cho họ cạo khắp người, giặt quần áo và dọn mình thanh sạch. 8 Họ phải đem theo một con bò đực với lễ vật chay bằng bột lọc nhồi dầu. Còn con cũng phải bắt một con bò đực tơ để dâng tế lễ chuộc tội. 9 Con hãy bảo người Lê-vi đến gần trước Trại Hội Kiến và tụ họp toàn dân Y-sơ-ra-ên. 10 Con phải bảo người Lê-vi đến gần trước mặt CHÚA rồi cho dân Y-sơ-ra-ên đặt tay trên người Lê-vi. 11 A-rôn phải dâng người Lê-vi lên trước mặt CHÚA như một tế lễ đưa qua đưa lại từ dân Y-sơ-ra-ên, ngõ hầu người Lê-vi sẵn sàng phục vụ CHÚA.
12 Người Lê-vi sẽ đặt tay trên đầu hai con bò đực. Con hãy dâng con bò này làm tế lễ chuộc tội và con kia làm tế lễ thiêu cho CHÚA để chuộc tội cho người Lê-vi. 13 Con hãy bảo người Lê-vi đứng trước mặt A-rôn và các con trai người, rồi dâng họ như một tế lễ đưa qua đưa lại cho CHÚA. 14 Như thế, con sẽ biệt riêng người Lê-vi ra khỏi Y-sơ-ra-ên, thì người Lê-vi sẽ thuộc về Ta.
15 Sau khi con thanh tẩy họ và dâng họ lên như tế lễ đưa qua đưa lại, người Lê-vi sẽ đến làm công việc tại Trại Hội Kiến. 16 Người Lê-vi phải dâng mình trọn vẹn cho Ta từ giữa dân Y-sơ-ra-ên. Ta đã chọn họ để họ thuộc về Ta thay thế cho các con trai đầu lòng cả người lẫn gia súc trong dân Y-sơ-ra-ên. 17 Tất cả các trưởng nam trong Y-sơ-ra-ên và các con đực đầu lòng trong bầy gia súc đều thuộc về Ta. Ta đã biệt riêng chúng cho Ta khi Ta đánh hạ tất cả các con trai đầu lòng tại Ai-cập. 18 Và Ta đã chọn người Lê-vi thay thế tất cả con trai đầu lòng Y-sơ-ra-ên.
19 Trong toàn dân Y-sơ-ra-ên, Ta đã ban người Lê-vi như một tặng phẩm cho A-rôn và các con trai người để làm công việc tại Trại Hội Kiến thay cho dân Y-sơ-ra-ên, cùng chuộc tội cho toàn dân ngõ hầu dân Y-sơ-ra-ên không bị tai họa gì khi họ đến gần Nơi Thánh.”
20 Môi-se, A-rôn và toàn dân Y-sơ-ra-ên làm cho người Lê-vi đúng theo mọi điều CHÚA đã phán dặn Môi-se. 21 Người Lê-vi dọn mình thanh sạch và giặt quần áo mình, rồi A-rôn dâng họ như tế lễ đưa qua đưa lại trước mặt CHÚA và làm tế lễ chuộc tội để thanh tẩy họ. 22 Sau đó, người Lê-vi đến làm công việc trong Trại Hội Kiến trước mặt A-rôn và các con trai người, theo sự phân công. Người ta làm cho người Lê-vi mọi điều CHÚA đã phán dặn Môi-se.
23 CHÚA phán bảo Môi-se: 24 “Đây là luật lệ áp dụng cho người Lê-vi: Mỗi người nam từ hai mươi lăm tuổi trở lên phải đến dự phần phục vụ tại Trại Hội Kiến. 25 Đến tuổi năm mươi họ phải về hưu, không phải làm việc nữa. 26 Đến tuổi đó, họ có thể phụ giúp anh em mình trong các dịch vụ tại Trại Hội Kiến, nhưng chính họ không được làm việc. Con phải áp dụng luật lệ này khi phân công cho người Lê-vi.”

Setting Up the Lamps
8 The Lord said to Moses, 2 “Speak to Aaron and say to him, ‘When you set up the lamps, see that all seven light up the area in front of the lampstand.(A)’”
3 Aaron did so; he set up the lamps so that they faced forward on the lampstand, just as the Lord commanded Moses. 4 This is how the lampstand was made: It was made of hammered gold(B)—from its base to its blossoms. The lampstand was made exactly like the pattern(C) the Lord had shown Moses.
The Setting Apart of the Levites
5 The Lord said to Moses: 6 “Take the Levites from among all the Israelites and make them ceremonially clean.(D) 7 To purify them, do this: Sprinkle the water of cleansing(E) on them; then have them shave their whole bodies(F) and wash their clothes.(G) And so they will purify themselves.(H) 8 Have them take a young bull with its grain offering of the finest flour mixed with olive oil;(I) then you are to take a second young bull for a sin offering.[a](J) 9 Bring the Levites to the front of the tent of meeting(K) and assemble the whole Israelite community.(L) 10 You are to bring the Levites before the Lord, and the Israelites are to lay their hands on them.(M) 11 Aaron is to present the Levites before the Lord as a wave offering(N) from the Israelites, so that they may be ready to do the work of the Lord.
12 “Then the Levites are to lay their hands on the heads of the bulls,(O) using one for a sin offering(P) to the Lord and the other for a burnt offering,(Q) to make atonement(R) for the Levites. 13 Have the Levites stand in front of Aaron and his sons and then present them as a wave offering(S) to the Lord. 14 In this way you are to set the Levites apart from the other Israelites, and the Levites will be mine.(T)
15 “After you have purified the Levites and presented them as a wave offering,(U) they are to come to do their work at the tent of meeting.(V) 16 They are the Israelites who are to be given wholly to me. I have taken them as my own in place of the firstborn,(W) the first male offspring(X) from every Israelite woman. 17 Every firstborn male in Israel, whether human or animal,(Y) is mine. When I struck down all the firstborn in Egypt, I set them apart for myself.(Z) 18 And I have taken the Levites in place of all the firstborn sons in Israel.(AA) 19 From among all the Israelites, I have given the Levites as gifts to Aaron and his sons(AB) to do the work at the tent of meeting on behalf of the Israelites(AC) and to make atonement for them(AD) so that no plague will strike the Israelites when they go near the sanctuary.”
20 Moses, Aaron and the whole Israelite community did with the Levites just as the Lord commanded Moses. 21 The Levites purified themselves and washed their clothes.(AE) Then Aaron presented them as a wave offering before the Lord and made atonement(AF) for them to purify them.(AG) 22 After that, the Levites came to do their work(AH) at the tent of meeting under the supervision of Aaron and his sons. They did with the Levites just as the Lord commanded Moses.
23 The Lord said to Moses, 24 “This applies to the Levites: Men twenty-five years old or more(AI) shall come to take part in the work at the tent of meeting,(AJ) 25 but at the age of fifty,(AK) they must retire from their regular service and work no longer. 26 They may assist their brothers in performing their duties at the tent of meeting, but they themselves must not do the work.(AL) This, then, is how you are to assign the responsibilities of the Levites.”
