Numbers 5:7-9

New American Standard Bible

⁷then ^[a]he shall ^(A)confess ^[b]his sin which ^[c]he has committed, and he ^(B)shall make restitution in full for his wrong and add to it a fifth of it, and give it to him whom he has wronged. ⁸But if the person has no ^[d]redeemer to whom restitution may be made for the wrong, the restitution which is made for the wrong must go to the Lord for the priest, besides the ram of atonement, by which atonement is made for him. ⁹^(C)Also every ^[e]contribution pertaining to all the holy gifts of the sons of Israel, which they offer to the priest, shall be his.

⁷Then they shall confess their sin which they have done: and he shall recompense his trespass with the principal thereof, and add unto it the fifth part thereof, and give it unto him against whom he hath trespassed.

⁸But if the man have no kinsman to recompense the trespass unto, let the trespass be recompensed unto the Lord, even to the priest; beside the ram of the atonement, whereby an atonement shall be made for him.

⁹And every offering of all the holy things of the children of Israel, which they bring unto the priest, shall be his.

Numbers 5:7-9

⁷and must confess^(A) the sin they have committed. They must make full restitution^(B) for the wrong they have done, add a fifth of the value to it and give it all to the person they have wronged. ⁸But if that person has no close relative to whom restitution can be made for the wrong, the restitution belongs to the Lord and must be given to the priest, along with the ram^(C) with which atonement is made for the wrongdoer.^(D) ⁹All the sacred contributions the Israelites bring to a priest will belong to him.^(E)
