4 ‘The service of the Kohathites at the tent of meeting concerns the most holy objects.(A) 5 Whenever the camp is about to move on, Aaron and his sons are to go in, take down the screening curtain, and cover the ark of the testimony with it.(B) 6 They are to place over this a covering made of fine leather,[a](C) spread a solid blue cloth on top, and insert its poles.(D)
7 ‘They are to spread a blue cloth over the table of the Presence and place the plates and cups on it, as well as the bowls and jugs for the drink offering. The regular bread offering is to be on it.(E) 8 They are to spread a scarlet cloth over them, cover them with a covering made of fine leather, and insert the poles in the table.(F)
9 ‘They are to take a blue cloth and cover the lampstand(G) used for light, with its lamps, snuffers, and firepans,(H) as well as its jars of oil by which they service it. 10 Then they are to place it with all its utensils inside a covering made of fine leather and put them on the carrying frame.
11 ‘They are to spread a blue cloth over the gold altar,(I) cover it with a covering made of fine leather, and insert its poles.(J) 12 They are to take all the serving utensils they use in the sanctuary, place them in a blue cloth, cover them with a covering made of fine leather, and put them on a carrying frame.
13 ‘They are to remove the ashes from the bronze altar, spread a purple cloth over it, 14 and place all the equipment on it that they use in serving: the firepans, meat forks, shovels, and basins – all the equipment of the altar.(K) They are to spread a covering made of fine leather over it and insert its poles.[b](L)
15 ‘Aaron and his sons are to finish covering the holy objects and all their equipment whenever the camp is to move on. The Kohathites will come and carry them, but they are not to touch the holy objects or they will die.(M) These are the transportation duties of the Kohathites regarding the tent of meeting.
16 ‘Eleazar, son of Aaron the priest, has oversight of the lamp oil,(N) the fragrant incense,(O) the daily grain offering,(P) and the anointing oil.(Q) He has oversight of the entire tabernacle and everything in it, the holy objects and their utensils.’[c]

4 “This is the work(A) of the Kohathites(B) at the tent of meeting: the care of the most holy things.(C) 5 When the camp is to move,(D) Aaron and his sons are to go in and take down the shielding curtain(E) and put it over the ark of the covenant law.(F) 6 Then they are to cover the curtain with a durable leather,[a](G) spread a cloth of solid blue over that and put the poles(H) in place.
7 “Over the table of the Presence(I) they are to spread a blue cloth and put on it the plates, dishes and bowls, and the jars for drink offerings;(J) the bread that is continually there(K) is to remain on it. 8 They are to spread a scarlet cloth over them, cover that with the durable leather and put the poles(L) in place.
9 “They are to take a blue cloth and cover the lampstand that is for light, together with its lamps, its wick trimmers and trays,(M) and all its jars for the olive oil used to supply it. 10 Then they are to wrap it and all its accessories in a covering of the durable leather and put it on a carrying frame.(N)
11 “Over the gold altar(O) they are to spread a blue cloth and cover that with the durable leather and put the poles(P) in place.
12 “They are to take all the articles(Q) used for ministering in the sanctuary, wrap them in a blue cloth, cover that with the durable leather and put them on a carrying frame.(R)
13 “They are to remove the ashes(S) from the bronze altar(T) and spread a purple cloth over it. 14 Then they are to place on it all the utensils(U) used for ministering at the altar, including the firepans,(V) meat forks,(W) shovels(X) and sprinkling bowls.(Y) Over it they are to spread a covering of the durable leather and put the poles(Z) in place.
15 “After Aaron and his sons have finished covering the holy furnishings and all the holy articles, and when the camp is ready to move,(AA) only then are the Kohathites(AB) to come and do the carrying.(AC) But they must not touch the holy things(AD) or they will die.(AE) The Kohathites are to carry those things that are in the tent of meeting.
16 “Eleazar(AF) son of Aaron, the priest, is to have charge of the oil for the light,(AG) the fragrant incense,(AH) the regular grain offering(AI) and the anointing oil. He is to be in charge of the entire tabernacle and everything in it, including its holy furnishings and articles.”

5 And when the camp setteth forward, Aaron shall come, and his sons, and they shall take down the covering vail, and cover the ark of testimony with it:
6 And shall put thereon the covering of badgers' skins, and shall spread over it a cloth wholly of blue, and shall put in the staves thereof.
7 And upon the table of shewbread they shall spread a cloth of blue, and put thereon the dishes, and the spoons, and the bowls, and covers to cover withal: and the continual bread shall be thereon:
8 And they shall spread upon them a cloth of scarlet, and cover the same with a covering of badgers' skins, and shall put in the staves thereof.
9 And they shall take a cloth of blue, and cover the candlestick of the light, and his lamps, and his tongs, and his snuffdishes, and all the oil vessels thereof, wherewith they minister unto it:
10 And they shall put it and all the vessels thereof within a covering of badgers' skins, and shall put it upon a bar.
11 And upon the golden altar they shall spread a cloth of blue, and cover it with a covering of badgers' skins, and shall put to the staves thereof:
12 And they shall take all the instruments of ministry, wherewith they minister in the sanctuary, and put them in a cloth of blue, and cover them with a covering of badgers' skins, and shall put them on a bar:
13 And they shall take away the ashes from the altar, and spread a purple cloth thereon:
14 And they shall put upon it all the vessels thereof, wherewith they minister about it, even the censers, the fleshhooks, and the shovels, and the basons, all the vessels of the altar; and they shall spread upon it a covering of badgers' skins, and put to the staves of it.
15 And when Aaron and his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary, and all the vessels of the sanctuary, as the camp is to set forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear it: but they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation.
16 And to the office of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest pertaineth the oil for the light, and the sweet incense, and the daily meat offering, and the anointing oil, and the oversight of all the tabernacle, and of all that therein is, in the sanctuary, and in the vessels thereof.
