Os confins da terra
34 Falou mais o Senhor a Moisés, dizendo: 2 Dá ordem aos filhos de Israel e dize-lhes: Quando entrardes na terra de Canaã, esta há de ser a terra que vos cairá em herança: a terra de Canaã, segundo os seus termos. 3 A banda do sul vos será desde o deserto de Zim até aos termos de Edom; e o termo do sul vos será desde a extremidade do mar Salgado para a banda do oriente, 4 e este termo vos irá rodeando do sul para a subida de Acrabim e passará até Zim; e as suas saídas serão do sul a Cades-Barneia; e sairá a Hazar-Adar e passará a Azmom; 5 rodeará mais este termo de Azmom até ao rio do Egito; e as suas saídas serão para a banda do mar. 6 Acerca do termo do ocidente, o mar Grande vos será por termo; este vos será o termo do ocidente. 7 E este vos será o termo do norte: desde o mar Grande marcareis até ao monte Hor. 8 Desde o monte Hor, marcareis até à entrada de Hamate; e as saídas deste termo serão até Zedade. 9 E este termo sairá até Zifrom, e as suas saídas serão em Hazar-Enã; este vos será o termo do norte. 10 E por termo da banda do oriente marcareis de Hazar-Enã até Sefã. 11 E este termo descerá desde Sefã até Ribla, para a banda do oriente de Aim; depois, descerá este termo e irá ao longo da borda do mar de Quinerete para a banda do oriente. 12 Descerá também este termo ao longo do Jordão, e as suas saídas serão no mar Salgado; esta vos será a terra, segundo os seus termos em roda.
13 E Moisés deu ordem aos filhos de Israel, dizendo: Esta é a terra que tomareis em sorte por herança, a qual o Senhor mandou dar às nove tribos e à meia tribo. 14 Porque a tribo dos filhos dos rubenitas, segundo a casa de seus pais, e a tribo dos filhos dos gaditas, segundo a casa de seus pais, já receberam; também a meia tribo de Manassés recebeu a sua herança. 15 Já duas tribos e meia tribo receberam a sua herança daquém do Jordão, de Jericó, da banda do oriente, ao nascente.
Os homens que devem dividir a terra
16 Falou mais o Senhor a Moisés, dizendo: 17 Estes são os nomes dos homens que vos repartirão a terra por herança: Eleazar, o sacerdote, e Josué, filho de Num. 18 Tomareis mais de cada tribo um príncipe, para repartir a terra em herança. 19 E estes são os nomes dos homens: da tribo de Judá, Calebe, filho de Jefoné; 20 e, da tribo dos filhos de Simeão, Samuel, filho de Amiúde; 21 da tribo de Benjamim, Elidade, filho de Quislom; 22 e, da tribo dos filhos de Dã, o príncipe Buqui, filho de Jogli; 23 dos filhos de José, da tribo dos filhos de Manassés, o príncipe Haniel, filho de Éfode; 24 e, da tribo dos filhos de Efraim, o príncipe Quemuel, filho de Siftã; 25 e, da tribo dos filhos de Zebulom, o príncipe Elizafã, filho de Parnaque; 26 e, da tribo dos filhos de Issacar, o príncipe Paltiel, filho de Azã; 27 e, da tribo dos filhos de Aser, o príncipe Aiude, filho de Selomi; 28 e, da tribo dos filhos de Naftali, o príncipe Pedael, filho de Amiúde. 29 Estes são aqueles a quem o Senhor ordenou que repartissem a herança pelos filhos de Israel na terra de Canaã.

34 O SENHOR disse a Moisés:
2 —Ordene aos israelitas que, quando entrarem na terra de Canaã, esta terra será de vocês como herança e estes serão os seus limites: 3 a fronteira sul limitará com o deserto de Zim ao longo do limite de Edom. A fronteira do extremo sul começará no leste desde o fim do mar Morto, 4 continuará depois para atravessar a subida de Acrabim, continuará por meio do deserto de Zim e o seu limite no sul será Cades-Barneia. Depois continuará até Hazar-Adar e depois passará por meio de Azmom. 5 Desde Azmom, a fronteira virará em direção do ribeiro do Egito e terminará no mar Mediterrâneo[a]. 6 A fronteira oeste limitará com as costas do mar Mediterrâneo. 7 A fronteira norte será esta: do mar Mediterrâneo tracem uma linha até o monte Hor, 8 e do monte Hor tracem uma linha até Lebo-Hamate. Depois a linha limite chegará até Zedade, 9 para continuar até Zifrom, e acabar em Hazar-Enã. Essa será a fronteira norte. 10 No que diz respeito da fronteira leste, tracem uma linha desde Hazar-Enã até Sefã, 11 de Sefã descerá até Ribla ao leste de Aim, de onde descenderá até se cruzar com as montanhas ao leste do lago da Galileia[b]. 12 A fronteira continuará até o rio Jordão e terminará no mar Salgado. Esse será seu país e as suas fronteiras em volta.
13 Moisés deu esta ordem aos israelitas:
—Esta é a terra que herdarão e dividirão por sorteio entre vocês. O SENHOR tem mandado que esta terra seja entregue às nove tribos e meia. 14 As tribos de Rúben, Gade e a metade da tribo de Manassés já receberam sua parte de acordo com as suas famílias. 15 As duas tribos e meia já receberam sua parte ao leste, perto do rio Jordão, desde Jericó, ao lado do leste.
16 Depois o SENHOR disse a Moisés:
17 —Estes são os nomes dos homens que repartirão a terra entre vocês: o sacerdote Eleazar e Josué, filho de Num, 18 mas que um chefe de cada tribo ajude também na divisão da terra.
19 Estes eram os nomes dos chefes das tribos:
Calebe, filho de Jefoné, da tribo de Judá;
20 Samuel, filho de Amiúde, da tribo de Simeão;
21 Elidade, filho de Quislom, da tribo de Benjamim;
22 o chefe Buqui, filho de Jogli, da tribo de Dã;
23 dos descendentes de José:
o chefe Haniel, filho de Éfode, da tribo de Manassés;
24 o chefe Quemuel, filho de Siftã, da tribo de Efraim;
25 o chefe Elisafã, filho de Parnaque, da tribo de Zebulom;
26 o chefe Paltiel, filho de Azã, da tribo de Issacar;
27 o chefe Aiúde, filho de Selomi, da tribo de Aser;
28 o chefe Pedael, filho de Amiúde, da tribo de Naftali.
29 O SENHOR ordenou a estes homens que distribuíssem a terra de Canaã entre os israelitas.

Chapter 34
The Boundaries. 1 The Lord spoke to Moses: 2 Give the Israelites this order: When you enter the land of Canaan, this is the territory that shall fall to you as your heritage—the land of Canaan with its boundaries:
3 Your southern boundary will be at the wilderness of Zin along the border of Edom;(A) on the east your southern boundary will begin at the end of the Salt Sea. 4 Then your boundary will turn south of the Akrabbim Pass and cross Zin. Terminating south of Kadesh-barnea, it extends to Hazar-addar and crosses to Azmon.(B) 5 Then the boundary will turn from Azmon to the Wadi of Egypt and terminate at the Sea.(C)
6 For your western boundary you will have the Great Sea[a] with its coast; this will be your western boundary.
7 This will be your boundary on the north: from the Great Sea you will draw a line to Mount Hor,[b] 8 and draw it from Mount Hor to Lebo-hamath, with the boundary terminating at Zedad. 9 Then the boundary extends to Ziphron and terminates at Hazar-enan. This will be your northern boundary.
10 For your eastern boundary you will draw a line from Hazar-enan to Shepham. 11 From Shepham the boundary will go down to Riblah, east of Ain, and descending further, the boundary will strike the ridge on the east side of the Sea of Chinnereth;[c] 12 then the boundary will descend along the Jordan and terminate with the Salt Sea.
This will be your land, with the boundaries that surround it.
13 Moses also gave this order to the Israelites: “This is the land, to be apportioned among you by lot, which the Lord has commanded to be given to the nine and a half tribes. 14 For the tribe of the Reubenites according to their ancestral houses, and the tribe of the Gadites according to their ancestral houses, as well as half of the tribe of Manasseh, have already received their heritage; 15 these two and a half tribes have received their heritage across the Jordan opposite Jericho, in the east, toward the sunrise.”
Supervisors of the Allotment. 16 The Lord spoke to Moses: 17 These are the names of the men who shall apportion the land among you: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua, son of Nun; 18 (D)and you will designate one leader from each of the tribes to apportion the land. 19 These are the names of the men:
from the tribe of Judah: Caleb, son of Jephunneh,
20 from the tribe of the Simeonites: Samuel, son of Ammihud;
21 from the tribe of Benjamin: Elidad, son of Chislon;
22 from the tribe of the Danites: a leader, Bukki, son of Jogli;
23 for the descendants of Joseph: from the tribe of the Manassites: a leader, Hanniel, son of Ephod; and
24 from the tribe of the Ephraimites: a leader, Kemuel, son of Shiphtan;
25 from the tribe of the Zebulunites: a leader, Elizaphan, son of Parnach;
26 from the tribe of the Issacharites: a leader, Paltiel, son of Azzan;
27 from the tribe of the Asherites: a leader, Ahihud, son of Shelomi;
28 from the tribe of the Naphtalites: a leader, Pedahel, son of Ammihud.
29 These are the ones whom the Lord commanded to apportion to the Israelites their heritage in the land of Canaan.
