Moshe recorded each of the stages of their journey by order of Adonai ; here are the starting-points of each stage:

They began their journey from Ram’ses in the first month. On the fifteenth day of the first month, the morning after the Pesach, the people of Isra’el left proudly in view of all the Egyptians; while the Egyptians were burying those among them whom Adonai had killed, all their firstborn; Adonai had also executed judgment on their gods.

At the Lord’s command Moses recorded(A) the stages in their journey(B). This is their journey by stages:

The Israelites set out(C) from Rameses(D) on the fifteenth day of the first month, the day after the Passover.(E) They marched out defiantly(F) in full view of all the Egyptians, who were burying all their firstborn,(G) whom the Lord had struck down among them; for the Lord had brought judgment(H) on their gods.(I)

And Moses wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the commandment of the Lord: and these are their journeys according to their goings out.

And they departed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the morrow after the passover the children of Israel went out with an high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians.

For the Egyptians buried all their firstborn, which the Lord had smitten among them: upon their gods also the Lord executed judgments.
