⁸And they slew the kings of Midian, beside the rest of them that were slain; namely, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, five kings of Midian: Balaam also the son of Beor they slew with the sword.

⁹And the children of Israel took all the women of Midian captives, and their little ones, and took the spoil of all their cattle, and all their flocks, and all their goods.

¹⁰And they burnt all their cities wherein they dwelt, and all their goodly castles, with fire.

⁸Among their victims were Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur and Reba^(A)—the five kings of Midian.^(B) They also killed Balaam son of Beor^(C) with the sword.^(D) ⁹The Israelites captured the Midianite women^(E) and children and took all the Midianite herds, flocks and goods as plunder.^(F) ¹⁰They burned^(G) all the towns where the Midianites had settled, as well as all their camps.^(H)
