30 And Moses spake unto the heads of the tribes concerning the children of Israel, saying, This is the thing which the Lord hath commanded.
2 If a man vow a vow unto the Lord, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth.
3 If a woman also vow a vow unto the Lord, and bind herself by a bond, being in her father's house in her youth;
4 And her father hear her vow, and her bond wherewith she hath bound her soul, and her father shall hold his peace at her; then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she hath bound her soul shall stand.
5 But if her father disallow her in the day that he heareth; not any of her vows, or of her bonds wherewith she hath bound her soul, shall stand: and the Lord shall forgive her, because her father disallowed her.
6 And if she had at all an husband, when she vowed, or uttered ought out of her lips, wherewith she bound her soul;
7 And her husband heard it, and held his peace at her in the day that he heard it: then her vows shall stand, and her bonds wherewith she bound her soul shall stand.
8 But if her husband disallowed her on the day that he heard it; then he shall make her vow which she vowed, and that which she uttered with her lips, wherewith she bound her soul, of none effect: and the Lord shall forgive her.
9 But every vow of a widow, and of her that is divorced, wherewith they have bound their souls, shall stand against her.
10 And if she vowed in her husband's house, or bound her soul by a bond with an oath;
11 And her husband heard it, and held his peace at her, and disallowed her not: then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she bound her soul shall stand.
12 But if her husband hath utterly made them void on the day he heard them; then whatsoever proceeded out of her lips concerning her vows, or concerning the bond of her soul, shall not stand: her husband hath made them void; and the Lord shall forgive her.
13 Every vow, and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband may establish it, or her husband may make it void.
14 But if her husband altogether hold his peace at her from day to day; then he establisheth all her vows, or all her bonds, which are upon her: he confirmeth them, because he held his peace at her in the day that he heard them.
15 But if he shall any ways make them void after that he hath heard them; then he shall bear her iniquity.
16 These are the statutes, which the Lord commanded Moses, between a man and his wife, between the father and his daughter, being yet in her youth in her father's house.

3 Când o femeie tânără, care încă mai locuieşte în casa tatălui ei, face o promisiune Domnului şi se leagă printr-o obligaţie, 4 iar tatăl ei află de promisiunea şi de obligaţia ei şi nu-i spune nimic, atunci toate promisiunile şi obligaţiile prin care ea s-a legat vor rămâne valabile. 5 Dar dacă tatăl ei îi interzice în ziua când află de promisiunea ei, atunci nici una din promisiunile sau obligaţiile prin care ea s-a legat nu mai sunt valabile. Domnul o va ierta, căci tatăl ei i-a interzis. 6 Dar dacă ea se va mărita, după ce a făcut promisiunea sau buzele ei au legat-o într-o obligaţie, 7 şi soţul ei află despre acestea, dar nu-i spune nimic, atunci promisiunile şi obligaţiile prin care ea s-a legat vor rămâne valabile. 8 Dacă soţul ei însă îi interzice când aude de promisiunea ei, prin aceasta el desfiinţează promisiunea pe care ea a făcut-o sau obligaţia prin care s-a legat cu buzele ei, iar Domnul o va ierta.
9 Orice promisiune sau obligaţie făcută de o femeie văduvă sau divorţată o va ţine legată.
10 Dacă o femeie, care locuieşte cu soţul ei, face promisiuni sau jurăminte, legându-se printr-o obligaţie, 11 iar soţul ei află de lucrul acesta, dar nu-i spune nimic şi nu-i interzice, atunci toate promisiunile pe care le-a făcut vor rămâne valabile şi toate obligaţiile prin care s-a legat vor rămâne valabile. 12 Dar dacă soţul ei le desfiinţează în ziua când aude despre ele, atunci nici una din promisiunile sau obligaţiile prin care buzele ei au legat-o nu va mai fi valabilă. 13 Soţul ei poate întări sau desfiinţa orice promisiune sau orice obligaţie prin care ea se leagă ca să-şi smerească sufletul. 14 Dar dacă soţul ei nu-i spune nimic despre acestea timp de mai multe zile după ce a aflat, atunci el confirmă că toate promisiunile şi obligaţiile ei rămân valabile; le confirmă pentru că nu i-a zis nimic în ziua când a auzit despre ele. 15 Dacă totuşi le va desfiinţa mai târziu, atunci el va fi responsabil pentru vina ei.»“
16 Acestea sunt poruncile pe care Domnul i le-a dat lui Moise cu privire la relaţiile dintre un soţ şi soţia lui şi dintre un tată şi fiica lui care, tânără fiind, încă mai locuieşte în casa tatălui ei.

30 Poi Mosè parlò ai capi delle tribù dei figli d'Israele, dicendo: «Questo è ciò che l'Eterno ha ordinato:
2 "Quando uno fa un voto all'Eterno o contrae un'obbligazione con giuramento, non violerà la sua parola, ma farà tutto ciò che è uscito dalla sua bocca.
3 Quando una donna fa un voto all'Eterno e si lega con un'obbligazione mentre è ancora in casa del padre, durante la sua giovinezza,
4 se il padre saputo del suo voto e dell'obbligazione a cui si è legata, non dice nulla in merito, tutti i suoi voti rimarranno validi e rimarranno valide tutte le obbligazioni a cui si è legata.
5 Ma se il padre, il giorno che viene a saperlo, le si oppone, tutti i suoi voti e tutte le obbligazioni a cui si è legata, non saranno validi; e l'Eterno la perdonerà, perché il padre le si è opposto.
6 Se dovesse invece maritarsi mentre è legata dai voti o da una obbligazione contratta sconsideratamente con le proprie labbra,
7 se il marito lo sa e il giorno che viene a saperlo non dice nulla in merito, i suoi voti rimarranno validi e rimarranno valide le obbligazioni a cui si è legata.
8 Ma se il marito, il giorno che viene a saperlo le si oppone, egli annullerà il voto che ella ha fatto e l'obbligazione contratta sconsideratamente con le proprie labbra; e l'Eterno la perdonerà.
9 Ma il voto di una vedova o di una donna ripudiata, qualunque sia l'obbligazione a cui si è legata, rimarrà valido.
10 Se ella fa un voto nella casa di suo marito, o ha contratto un'obbligazione con giuramento,
11 e il marito lo ha saputo, se il marito non dice nulla in merito e non le si oppone, tutti i suoi voti rimarranno validi e rimarranno valide tutte le obbligazioni a cui si è legata.
12 Ma se il marito, il giorno che viene a saperlo li annulla, tutto ciò che è uscito dalle labbra, siano voti obbligazioni a cui si è legata, non sarà valido il marito li ha annullati; e l'Eterno la perdonerà.
13 Il marito può confermare e il marito può annullare qualunque voto e qualunque giuramento vincolante, che mira a mortificare la sua persona.
14 Ma se il marito, giorno dopo giorno, non dice nulla in merito, egli conferma in questo modo tutti i suoi voti e tutte le obbligazioni a cui si è legata; li conferma, perché non ha detto nulla in merito il giorno che è venuto a saperlo.
15 Ma se li annulla dopo averlo saputo, porterà il peso del peccato della moglie"».
16 Questi sono gli statuti che l'Eterno prescrisse a Mosè, in merito alle relazioni tra marito e moglie, e tra padre e figlia, mentre ella è ancora fanciulla in casa di suo padre.

The Law Concerning Vows
30 Then Moses spoke to (A)the heads of the tribes concerning the children of Israel, saying, “This is the thing which the Lord has commanded: 2 (B)If a man makes a vow to the Lord, or (C)swears an oath to bind himself by some agreement, he shall not break his word; he shall (D)do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.
3 “Or if a woman makes a vow to the Lord, and binds herself by some agreement while in her father’s house in her youth, 4 and her father hears her vow and the agreement by which she has bound herself, and her father [a]holds his peace, then all her vows shall stand, and every agreement with which she has bound herself shall stand. 5 But if her father overrules her on the day that he hears, then none of her vows nor her agreements by which she has bound herself shall stand; and the Lord will release her, because her father overruled her.
6 “If indeed she takes a husband, while bound by her vows or by a rash utterance from her lips by which she bound herself, 7 and her husband hears it, and makes no response to her on the day that he hears, then her vows shall stand, and her agreements by which she bound herself shall stand. 8 But if her husband (E)overrules her on the day that he hears it, he shall make void her vow which she took and what she uttered with her lips, by which she bound herself, and the Lord will release her.
9 “Also any vow of a widow or a divorced woman, by which she has bound herself, shall stand against her.
10 “If she vowed in her husband’s house, or bound herself by an agreement with an oath, 11 and her husband heard it, and made no response to her and did not overrule her, then all her vows shall stand, and every agreement by which she bound herself shall stand. 12 But if her husband truly made them void on the day he heard them, then whatever proceeded from her lips concerning her vows or concerning the agreement binding her, it shall not stand; her husband has made them [b]void, and the Lord will release her. 13 Every vow and every binding oath to afflict her soul, her husband may confirm it, or her husband may make it void. 14 Now if her husband makes no response whatever to her from day to day, then he confirms all her vows or all the agreements that bind her; he confirms them, because he made no response to her on the day that he heard them. 15 But if he does make them void after he has heard them, then he shall bear her guilt.”
16 These are the statutes which the Lord commanded Moses, between a man and his wife, and between a father and his daughter in her youth in her father’s house.
