²⁸The descendants of Joseph^(A) by their clans through Manasseh and Ephraim^(B) were:

through Makir,^(D) the Makirite clan (Makir was the father of Gilead^(E));

through Gilead, the Gileadite clan.

³⁰These were the descendants of Gilead:^(F)

through Iezer,^(G) the Iezerite clan;

through Helek, the Helekite clan;
