Numbers 25:3-4

New International Version

³ So Israel yoked themselves to^(A) the Baal of Peor.^(B) And the Lord’s anger burned against them.

⁴ The Lord said to Moses, “Take all the leaders^(C) of these people, kill them and expose^(D) them in broad daylight before the Lord,^(E) so that the Lord’s fierce anger^(F) may turn away from Israel.”
