³⁷ And Balak said to Balaam, “Did I not send to you to call you? Why did you not come to me? Am I not able to ^(A)honor you?”

¹¹ Therefore now flee to your own place. I said, ^(A)‘I will certainly honor you,’ but the Lord has held you back from honor.”

⁴⁴ How can you believe, when you receive glory from one another and ^(A)do not seek the glory that comes from ^(B)the only God?

⁶ and said to him, “To you ^(A)I will give all this authority and their glory, ^(B)for it has been delivered to me, and I give it to whom I will.

^8 (A)Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. ⁹ And he said to him, “All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me.”

¹⁶ And they came to Balaam and said to him, “Thus says Balak the son of Zippor: ‘Let nothing hinder you from coming to me, ^17 (A)for I will surely do you great honor, and whatever you say to me I will do. ^(B)Come, curse this people for me.’”
