Numbers 21:2-4

2 (A)And Israel vowed a vow to the Lord and said, “If you will indeed give this people into my hand, then I will devote their cities to destruction.”[a] 3 And the Lord heeded the voice of Israel and gave over the Canaanites, and they devoted them and their cities to destruction. So the name of the place was called (B)Hormah.[b]

4 From Mount Hor (C)they set out by the way to the Red Sea, (D)to go around the land of Edom. And the people became impatient on the way.

2 (A)So Israel made a vow to the Lord, and said, “If You will indeed deliver this people into my hand, then (B)I will utterly destroy their cities.” 3 And the Lord listened to the voice of Israel and delivered up the Canaanites, and they utterly destroyed them and their cities. So the name of that place was called [a]Hormah.
