The Arrangement of the Camp
2 The Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron as follows:
2 Each of the Israelites will camp under his own standard, with the banners for their fathers’ houses. They will camp around the Tent of Meeting at a distance from it.
3 Those who camp on the east side toward the sunrise will be organized under the standard of Judah’s camp, according to their military units.
The tribal chief of Judah’s descendants is Nahshon son of Amminadab. 4 His unit, as registered, totals 74,600.
5 The tribe of Issachar will camp next to Judah. The tribal chief of Issachar’s descendants is Nethanel son of Zuar. 6 His unit, as registered, totals 54,400.
7 The tribe of Zebulun will be next. The tribal chief of Zebulun’s descendants is Eliab son of Helon. 8 His unit, as registered, totals 57,400.
9 All those registered in Judah’s camp are 186,400, according to their military units. They will set out first.
10 Those who camp on the south side will be organized under the standard of Reuben’s camp, according to their military units.
The tribal chief of Reuben’s descendants is Elizur son of Shedeur. 11 His unit, as registered, totals 46,500.
12 The tribe of Simeon will camp next to Reuben. The tribal chief of Simeon’s descendants is Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai. 13 His unit, as registered, totals 59,300.
14 The tribe of Gad will be next. The tribal chief of Gad’s descendants will be Eliasaph son of Deuel.[a] 15 His unit, as registered, totals 45,650.
16 All those registered in Reuben’s camp are 151,450, according to their military units. They will set out second.
17 Then the Tent of Meeting will set out with the Levites’ camp, which is in the middle of the camps. They are to set out in the same order as they camp, each one in his place, following their standards.
18 Those who camp on the west side will be organized under the standard of Ephraim’s camp, according to their military units.
The tribal chief of Ephraim’s descendants is Elishama son of Ammihud. 19 His unit, as registered, totals 40,500.
20 Next to Ephraim will be the tribe of Manasseh. The tribal chief of Manasseh’s descendants is Gamaliel son of Pedahzur. 21 His unit, as registered, totals 32,200.
22 The tribe of Benjamin will be next. The tribal chief of Benjamin’s descendants is Abidan son of Gideoni. 23 His unit, as registered, totals 35,400.
24 All those registered in Ephraim’s camp are 108,100, according to their military units. They will set out third.
25 Those who camp on the north side will be organized under the standard of Dan’s camp, according to their military units.
The tribal chief of Dan’s descendants is Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai. 26 His unit, as registered, totals 62,700.
27 Next to Dan will be the tribe of Asher. The tribal chief of Asher’s descendants will be Pagiel son of Ochran. 28 His unit, as registered, totals 41,500.
29 The tribe of Naphtali will be next. The tribal chief of Naphtali’s descendants is Ahira son of Enan. 30 His unit, as registered, totals 53,400.
31 All those registered in Dan’s camp are 157,600. They will set out last, following their standards.
32 These were the Israelites who were registered according to their fathers’ houses. All the men in the camps, organized according to their military units, as registered, totaled 603,550. 33 But the Levites were not registered among the Israelites, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.
34 The Israelites did everything that the Lord commanded Moses. They camped around their standards, and they set out, every one of them by their clans, according to their fathers’ houses.

3 Về hướng đông, tức hướng mặt trời mọc, sẽ là vị trí cho các đơn vị dưới ngọn cờ của chi tộc Giu-đa. Người lãnh đạo chi tộc Giu-đa là Nát-sôn con trai Am-mi-na-đáp. 4 Quân số của ông theo thống kê là bảy mươi bốn ngàn sáu trăm người.
5 Ðóng trại kế chi tộc ông là chi tộc I-sa-ca. Người lãnh đạo chi tộc I-sa-ca là Nê-tha-nên con trai Xu-a. 6 Quân số của ông theo thống kê là năm mươi bốn ngàn bốn trăm người.
7 Tiếp theo là các trại của chi tộc Xê-bu-lun. Người lãnh đạo của chi tộc Xê-bu-lun là Ê-li-áp con trai Hê-lôn. 8 Quân số của ông theo thống kê là năm mươi bảy ngàn bốn trăm người.
9 Tổng số quân đặt dưới lều chỉ huy của chi tộc Giu-đa, theo từng đơn vị, là một trăm tám mươi sáu ngàn bốn trăm người. Ðại đơn vị nầy sẽ đi tiên phong.
10 Hướng nam sẽ là vị trí cho các đơn vị dưới ngọn cờ của chi tộc Ru-bên. Người lãnh đạo chi tộc Ru-bên là Ê-li-xu con trai Sê-đê-ua. 11 Quân số của ông theo thống kê là bốn mươi sáu ngàn năm trăm người.
12 Ðóng trại kế chi tộc ông là chi tộc Si-mê-ôn. Người lãnh đạo chi tộc Si-mê-ôn là Sê-lu-mi-ên con trai Xu-ri-sa-đai. 13 Quân số của ông theo thống kê là năm mươi chín ngàn ba trăm người.
14 Tiếp theo là các trại của chi tộc Gát. Người lãnh đạo chi tộc Gát là Ê-li-a-sáp con trai Ðê-u-ên. 15 Quân số của ông theo thống kê là bốn mươi lăm ngàn sáu trăm năm mươi người.
16 Tổng số quân đặt dưới lều chỉ huy của chi tộc Ru-bên, theo từng đơn vị, là một trăm năm mươi mốt ngàn bốn trăm năm mươi người. Ðại đơn vị nầy sẽ đi thứ nhì.
17 Lều Hội Kiến với trại quân của người Lê-vi sẽ đi giữa, trong khi các trại quân của các chi tộc khác ở chung quanh. Họ ra đi theo đội hình như lúc họ đóng trại; đơn vị nào theo vị trí nấy, cứ theo ngọn cờ của đơn vị mình mà di chuyển.
18 Hướng tây sẽ là vị trí cho các đơn vị dưới ngọn cờ của chi tộc Ép-ra-im. Người lãnh đạo chi tộc Ép-ra-im là Ê-li-sa-ma con trai Am-mi-hút. 19 Quân số của ông theo thống kê là bốn mươi ngàn năm trăm người.

24 Tổng số quân đặt dưới lều chỉ huy của chi tộc Ép-ra-im, theo từng đơn vị, là một trăm lẻ tám ngàn một trăm người. Ðại đơn vị nầy sẽ đi thứ ba.
25 Hướng bắc sẽ là vị trí cho các đơn vị dưới ngọn cờ của chi tộc Ðan. Người lãnh đạo chi tộc Ðan là A-hi-ê-xe con trai Am-mi-sa-đai. 26 Quân số của ông theo thống kê là sáu mươi hai ngàn bảy trăm người.
27 Ðóng trại kế chi tộc ông là chi tộc A-se. Người lãnh đạo chi tộc A-se là Pa-ghi-ên con trai Ốc-ran. 28 Quân số của ông theo thống kê là bốn mươi mốt ngàn năm trăm người.
29 Tiếp theo là các trại của chi tộc Náp-ta-li. Người lãnh đạo chi tộc Náp-ta-li là A-hi-ra con trai Ê-nan. 30 Quân số của ông theo thống kê là năm mươi ba ngàn bốn trăm người.
31 Tổng số quân đặt dưới lều chỉ huy của chi tộc Ðan, theo từng đơn vị, là một trăm năm mươi bảy ngàn sáu trăm người. Ðại đơn vị nầy sẽ đi cuối cùng.
32 Ðó là quân số của I-sơ-ra-ên đã được thống kê theo gia tộc của họ. Tổng số quân trong các trại, theo các đơn vị của họ, là sáu trăm lẻ ba ngàn năm trăm năm mươi người. 33 Ðó là chưa kể người Lê-vi, những người không được thống kê trong dân I-sơ-ra-ên, như Chúa đã truyền cho Môi-se.
34 Dân I-sơ-ra-ên thi hành đúng như Chúa đã truyền cho Môi-se. Họ đóng trại theo ngọn cờ của từng đơn vị; khi ra đi họ cũng di chuyển theo đội hình như vậy, ai nấy đều di chuyển theo thị tộc mình, cùng với gia tộc mình.

The Arrangement of the Tribal Camps
2 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron: 2 “The Israelites are to camp around the tent of meeting some distance from it, each of them under their standard(A) and holding the banners of their family.”
3 On the east, toward the sunrise, the divisions of the camp of Judah are to encamp under their standard. The leader of the people of Judah is Nahshon son of Amminadab.(B) 4 His division numbers 74,600.
5 The tribe of Issachar(C) will camp next to them. The leader of the people of Issachar is Nethanel son of Zuar.(D) 6 His division numbers 54,400.
7 The tribe of Zebulun will be next. The leader of the people of Zebulun is Eliab son of Helon.(E) 8 His division numbers 57,400.
9 All the men assigned to the camp of Judah, according to their divisions, number 186,400. They will set out first.(F)
10 On the south(G) will be the divisions of the camp of Reuben under their standard. The leader of the people of Reuben is Elizur son of Shedeur.(H) 11 His division numbers 46,500.

32 These are the Israelites, counted according to their families.(AE) All the men in the camps, by their divisions, number 603,550.(AF) 33 The Levites, however, were not counted(AG) along with the other Israelites, as the Lord commanded Moses.
34 So the Israelites did everything the Lord commanded Moses; that is the way they encamped under their standards, and that is the way they set out, each of them with their clan and family.
