New King James Version

9 Then a man who is clean shall gather up (A)the ashes of the heifer, and store them outside the camp in a clean place; and they shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel (B)for the water of [a]purification; it is for purifying from sin. 10 And the one who gathers the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until evening. It shall be a statute forever to the children of Israel and to the stranger who dwells among them.

11 (C)‘He who touches the dead [b]body of anyone shall be unclean seven days.

11 ‘(C)The one who touches the dead body of any [c]person will also be unclean for seven days.

9 “A man who is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer(A) and put them in a ceremonially clean place(B) outside the camp. They are to be kept by the Israelite community for use in the water of cleansing;(C) it is for purification from sin.(D) 10 The man who gathers up(E) the ashes of the heifer must also wash his clothes, and he too will be unclean till evening.(F) This will be a lasting ordinance(G) both for the Israelites and for the foreigners residing among them.(H)

11 “Whoever touches a human corpse(I) will be unclean for seven days.(J)
