³³ So they and all that belonged to them went down alive to ^[a]Sheol; and the earth closed over them, and they perished from the midst of the assembly. ³⁴ Then all Israel who were around them fled at their ^[b]outcry, for they said, “The earth might swallow us!” ^35 (A)Fire also came out from the Lord and consumed the ^(B)250 men who were offering the incense.

^20 (A)Your strength will be consumed uselessly, for your land will not yield its produce and the trees of the land will not yield their fruit.

⁶ And He began telling this parable: “A man had ^(A)a fig tree which had been planted in his vineyard; and he came looking for fruit on it and did not find any. ⁷ And he said to the vineyard-keeper, ‘Look! For three years I have come looking for fruit on this fig tree ^[a]without finding any. ^(B)Cut it down! Why does it even use up the ground?’ ⁸ But he answered and said to him, ‘Sir, leave it alone for this year too, until I dig around it and put in fertilizer; ⁹ and if it bears fruit next year, fine; but if not, cut it down.’”
