Numbers 14:22-24

²²not one of those who saw my glory and the signs^(A) I performed in Egypt and in the wilderness but who disobeyed me and tested me ten times^(B)— ²³not one of them will ever see the land I promised on oath^(C) to their ancestors. No one who has treated me with contempt^(D) will ever see it.^(E) ²⁴But because my servant Caleb^(F) has a different spirit and follows me wholeheartedly,^(G) I will bring him into the land he went to, and his descendants will inherit it.^(H)

Contemporary English Version

^22-23I swear that not one of these Israelites will enter the land I promised to give their ancestors. These people have seen my power in Egypt and in the desert, but they will never see Canaan. They have disobeyed and tested me too many times.

²⁴^(A) But my servant Caleb isn't like the others. So because he has faith in me, I will allow him to cross into Canaan, and his descendants will settle there.
